Rockin Rollercoaster at rope drop

Hi all. For all the times I’ve gone to Disney I’ve never done Rockin Rollercoaster. I’m determined to go this time. Was thinking of doing it at rope drop so I wouldn’t use a FP+. Riding by myself since DH doesn’t do rollercaosters. Is the line pretty short at rope drop or should I expect a little wait?

No problem at rope drop.
Most will be headed to TSM.

Back in August we entered HS at rope drop, rushed over and signed up for Jedi training and then made our way to RR and it was a short line (maybe 15-20 mins?). If you head straight to RR at rope drop it might very well be a walk on or close to it.

I think that's a good plan. On our last trip DH and DS9 rode it, and ToT x2, by the time DD13, DS12, and I got done with TSMM and met them at ToT. Our ride had a 30min standby wait at RD!

There is a single rider line that early in the day will be fine.

Later on lots of groups use it lessening the value for true single riders.

I do it at RD every time.
I find that sometimes its even too short of a wait because I don't like being shuffled through the pre show area without experiencing it.
If you'd like to experience the pre show I'd let a few parties go ahead of you before getting in line.

Get to park 30 min before opening time and head straight there for 0 wait time.

We were there last February. We were towards the front of the line to enter. Although it was EMH so that helped, but we rode RNRC twice, with the first time just skipping the pre show. Then we rode TOT twice. Stopped for a couple pictures, then made our way to Star Tours and were on that in about an hour of us getting there.

Rode it six ties in a row with no wait at rope drop. Awesome!

Single rider line at rope drop is super quick. My husband walked straight on the ride then when he was done I waited less than 10 minutes (also in single rider line).

20 minute wait last week about 3:30 in the afternoon- my kids rode it twice.
