Rock the universe

tell me about seating for rock the universe.

Never been to Universal I don't even know where or how the stages are set up. I'm assuming that there are a few?

Bring your own chairs, blanket on grass, is there grass?

Fill me in please.

It's been a few years since I've been to RTU. But the setup hasn't change much. There are 2 main Stages. The first is the Permanent stage by HRRR https://goo.gl/maps/rLq5h . The second stage is temporary stage setup near Monster Makeup. https://goo.gl/maps/8UKj5 .

At both locations, the "best" spots are standing room only. If everything goes to plan, bands will alternate between stages most of the evening with a little bit of overlap. One stage will have performances while the other stage switches bands and does sound check.

It would be difficult to see everyone from the "best" spots. When I went, I stood to be back of the main crowd and could easily go back and forth and get OK views. You'd end up missing the first little bit of one bands set because of overlap between stages.

Standing room only, this does mean standing?

No folding chairs?
Do people really stand from 4 - 1?!

You're not allowed to bring folding chairs. People in the "prime" viewing location will probably stand most of the evenings. You may get some people sitting on the "grass" at the main stage between acts early in the evening before the "headliners". As you move further back from the stage, there are benches and other areas to sit down.

Remember, the core demographic of this event is Junior High and High School kids. To them, standing like that isn't a big deal.
