This will be my first time to attend Rock the Universe and I was wondering what to expect with wait times for rides and what rides will be open during the event.

If your going for the concerts you will have a great time. If you are going for rides dont expect to get on much well almost every attraction will be open expect huge lines last year RRR was over 3 hours and the mummy was over 2 hours. Expect huge crowds mostly made up of teenage church groups. Like I said if your going for the concerts its great but if your going for rides I would recommend going on a different day. I've heard RTU is a lot of fun and passholders get discounted tickets but keep in mind this is a hard ticket event so you will have to pay an additional fee to go...just like HHN. The crowds are huge for this event and the lines for the attractions very long.

We are planning to go and I keep hearing about crowds. Are they a lot worse than on a typical day at Universal? I am really on the fence as to if this is the best time for us to go to Universal.

i have not been there during that event but have read it is crowded.

It is a very crowded event, I used to go yearly with a church youth group, it is a fun event. Ride lines are very very very long and the event is full of teenagers, not all who behave properly, but the majority are well behaved.

In the long ride lines there is a lot of cheering and chanting that is actually a lot of fun! But if you want to avoid those long ride lines and experience rides during this event, for $15.99, you can get a express pass for the event (4 p.m.- 1 a.m.) This will save you a lot of time if you plan on riding rides.

Tickets are dirt cheap for our group. We're able to do 3 days PH with 2 nights event for only $100! Just wondering about the attractions. Looks like only 4 attractions are open?

The calendar on the website says the park is open until 8pm. Is this not correct?

The unlimited Express Plus passes for onsite guests and the EPs you purchase are only good during regular park hours so once the park is closed (in this case 5pm) you would not be able to use it. Hard ticket events do not carry over onsite benefits and since only four attractions will be open, EPs will not be accepted.
