Until I went to MGM in 1999, I had a rollercoaster phobia! You couldn't get me anywhere near one that went upside down. RNR was the very first upside down coaster that my sister got me to go on. I must admit, I did make it halfway out the 'chicken exit'. Unfortunately, my sister caught me escaping and quickly dragged me back to the queue and towards a gate... and for that I will be forever grateful!!! I haven't looked back since.
Although it wasn't until I went on Kraken in 2001 (was still being built when we went the first time) that my coaster phobia was totally cured (now I wanna go on stuff that my sister doesn't!), but it was down to RNR that it was possible; it provided that very crucial building block.
It comparison to other rollercoasters in Orlando, it's pretty tame. I think there is like 2 upside down loops, and that's it. They are both over very fast, and by the time you realise you're upside down, you're back up the right way again. Personally, I think it's one of the best rides for introducing you to inverted rollercoasters, even if your ears do come off a little red!!! My top tip would be, don't sit in the front and deffo don't sit in the back. The back is worst for ear-bashing, and the front, well, it's the front ;-)
