I read a great tip on height restrictions in a Disney guide; If your party includes a shorter child or a brave younger child they can sneak into the ride by wearing built-up or high heeled shoes! Apparently works every time but I wouldn't try it on stilts!

Others suggest putting something in a shoe, but given that the height restrictions are for health and safety reasons I for one don't think it is worth the risk on safety of a child to find a way to bend around the rules.
That's why only DD will be going on RnR The others will get their chance on a future trip.

my 6 year old boy loved this ride ..he just scrapped through for height.I thought he would come off green but no he wanted to go on again and again and again.

I loved it too I just sang the whole way round,my ds is now an Aerosmith fan.

My advice would be to keep your head back in the headrest when you take off...do not take anything on with you.. bags etc and sit back and enjoy.

Yeah my daughter was wearing snow boots/moon boots and that was part of the reason they took her aside!!

When we went to Disneyland Paris in April one of the passengers in our tour group was in his 70s and he loved it so much the first time he got straight back in the queue again lol

Looking for tips, advice regarding what to look out for?

My general roller coaster observation is that, on long ride cars/trains/ride-things, the front of the car gets slowed down from when it crests every hill until the end of the car clears the hill: so the back is the worst. It's just that when you're in front, there's nothing to hide your view. Shorter cars, like SM, don't have that front/back phenomenon.

My dd got on to the Indy Jones ride at DL Anaheim wearing medium-heeled sandals when she was 4--so it can work. Disney uses height to estimate whether a person will fit the seat/safety restraints.

About RnRC, no spoilers here but, it's really the opening acceleration that's the biggest rush--after that the ride's pretty much over before your senses catch up to you!

Where would anyone who's been on RnR Coaster rate it in terms of scariness on a scale of 1 to 10 if It's A Small World was 0 and BTM was say 3 (made that's too high for BTM)? Also what would you rate Space Mountain 2 at on that scale?

I would quite like to try RnR Coaster, my DH & DD say it's fine, but methinks they are just saying that to get me to go on it and be (DH told me once ToT in WDW was fine, so l went on it - never again,!!)

BTW, my DD thinks if you can get it, 2nd seat from the front is a good place to sit on rides like RnR.

Ratingwise I would go for:
ToT: 8
RnRC: 6
SM2: 5
SM (WDW): 4
Goofys Barnstromer: 3

There are no big drops and no time to get really terrified(!) in either ride. The RnRC throws you around more than SM2, but isn't really that bad. What makes the rides seem more intense are the effects (i.e. sound and vision) which Disney do so well .

I like the sound of the second seat - the seats at the back are the roughest and the front seat has the obstruction in the middle leading to a lack of legroom, so second sounds like an excellent compromise.

If any Disney rides are scary at all, it might be the 1st time you ride them because of the surprise factor. After that it's just how much you get thrown from side-to-side or up-and-down. Paris' SM has a loop (none of the other SMs worldwide do), RnR has 3 inversions (and is a clone of the one in Orlando), ToT just goes up-and-down (which are the directions I dislike most), even Paris' Indiana Jones ride has a loop inside in the dark. So part of any ratings depend on whether you thrill most from going upside down, falling straight down, pulling Gs in the turns, or mixing them all up. I'd have to say: RnR 7, IJ 7, SM2 7, ToT 6, BTM 5; but that's because I like the turns and Gs better than falling down.
