This past Sunday morning my husband and I rode RnR three times in a row with no wait. When we thought we would ride even more than 3 times, we were joking about conducting research, so here are our observations.

By far the smoothest ride is in the very front car. It was great, though it felt the slowest going through the ride. Then we rode in the very back seats. It was a much rougher ride and bounced my head back and forth a lot. It felt faster - like we were the tail being whipped through the ride. We decided we would never ride in the last seats again because it gave me an immediate headache. Then we rode just in front of the middle, which was, not surprisingly, medium rough. We called it quits after three since I had a headache and my husband was queasy. I guess we are just theme park wimps.

If you want to pick your row, just ask. We found the CMs VERY accomodating. We would just tell the CM near the back seats what we wanted to do and she would say, "sure" every time.

If you have long legs - we do - make sure you are in an odd numbered row. These are the front seats in each individual car that makes up your big super-stretch limo and there is much, much, much more leg room. I think this advice would also be useful if you were just large all over and needed more room to maneuver in and out of the seat.

And, finally, smile when your limo takes off. That's when they take the picture and I kept yelling and my pictures were all bad.

I think you get an A+ for RnR research. :p

Very interesting and helpful information on this ride! Thanks for posting. :D

nice post. I have done the RRcoaster many times as its my sons favorite. I agree with you about the ride. Everyone asks for the front, but I think the best "rockin" ride is in the back.

Sure do agree with you on the odd rows. I have always been in the odd rows (6" 6" here) and the one time I was in an even row I thought I was going to die, LOL.

last time I did this ride I did about the same. Rode it 3 times.. We tried the front... ( yawn... ) Didn't like the feel up there... Felt slow.. Then rode the back 2 times and WOW nice ride. I am a coaster nut and I always try to get the back because it feels like it is pulling you faster than what you are going. The back of this ride we gave 2 thumbs up.... Just press your head back against the seat and it is time to ROCK n ROLL!!!!!!!!!!! :bounce:

Thanks for the info. My son (10 years old at the time) got a bad headache from riding the back car two times in a row, and then we had to head back to the resort for the afternoon so he could lay down. But this November I am going to try to get my husband to ride it and he is a big guy who is afraid of coasters. So, I will try getting him in the first car.

Yea if he is afraid about the best would be the front... Nothing to see since it is in the dark... Plus it is not as rough... One thing about the back is you really have to hold your head TIGHT against the seat... There are a few roller coasters up here at Gurnee Six Flags that are the same way... You don't hold your head back tight enough you in for a headache for the rest of the day....

I tried to hold my head back and still and couldn't do it. Maybe you have to have a strong neck? I'll just have to stick with the front seat I guess.

I agree - the first seat is a much calmer ride. When I rode in the last seat I also got a headache. I held my head as still as I could, so I'm not sure if I got the headache because my head still got bopped around or because I gave myself a tension headache! At the time, my DH thought it was the latter!
