i'm not sure about going on the rock n roller coaster. the only looping coaster i've been on before is the scorpion at busch gardens tampa and if you've never been on that its really small, about a minute long and has one small loop. i do fine on space mountain too but i've heard the launch on the rock n roller coaster is really intense and i dont like not being able to see the track either. would i be okay on it?

I don't like big roller coasters.

I love the rock'n'roller coaster.

The first time I road with my eyes closed.

It was over before I knew it.

The second time I watched all the street signs go by. You can't really see the track.

Try it.

i don think that its really that bad... personlly i think the fact that its dark and you cant tell how high you are and all that makes it a little easier to handle. To me its not as bad if the loop is right above the ground and you cant see rather than 100 feet in the air and knowing its coming.

I think you should try it. If you dont like it... treat yourself to an ice cream and popcorn.:p

Go for it! In my opinion it is the best ride on Disney Property (although I haven't gone on Mission Space yet)! It is over before you know it. The "launch" at the beginning is a little intense, but it is awesome! I like this much more than Tower of Terror.

RRC is my favorite. My mom tried it for the first time last December. She said she hadn't been on a roller coaster in 25 years! And she loved it too... So we rode it again!

It's a very smooth ride, and over really fast. I would try it!

You will probably love the Rock'n'Roller Coaster. The take-off looks scary, but the ride is so smooth you hardly feel the loops. If you can do the Scorpion at Busch Gardens, you will love RnR. Don't let the screeching noise at take-off scare you away.

My son, Adam, now 9, has 'done RnRC for the last 3 years... but he hates coasters!! (wouldn't do Scorpion at BG!)... I think it's because he went on for the first time in ignorance of the ride (you obviously can't see too much before you get on) and enjoyed it enough to ride again and again!! Go for it and enjoy! Mike.

I too had my doubts about this ride before our trip last NYE. We had passed it by on all previous trips since I was too scared, but after reading reports here I thought I'd give it a try. I absolutely hate roller coasters, but I love this ride. And I won't even ride Space Mountain, so that should show you how great RnRC is. I brought my 57yo mom on after I was on it once and when we got off she said "Wow, that was short, but we never went upside down". She usually gets sick on looping coasters, but until 4 others verified that we did indeed go upside down--3 times in fact--she didn't believe it. Try it once and you'll be glad you did!

Hi! The only part of RockN Roller that I find too intense is the launch, and I learned 2 visits ago that there's a huge trick to surviving the launch. The first several times I rode, I tensed up because of fear of that launch and the launch was HORRIBLE!!! Then one visit, I was visiting with a friend and it launched before I realized it -- I was relaxed this time and the lauch was *SO* much easier to handle. So even though instinct is to tense up and await the worst, you're *much* better off relaxing and riding into it.

Already posted to tell you I love the ride, but forgot to say...

I would recommend putting your head on the head rest BEFORE you take off.

I hate upside down loops also. I could barely tell we went upside down on all my many rides on RnR. Well, last week we were in line for RnR and a woman in line with me asked how bad it was. She had a real fear of roller coasters that went upside down. She was trying to decide if she should just let her teen kids ride without her. I told her how smooth and fast it was and how it would be over so quickly that she might not even notice.

I lost track of her in line as we were on different sides of the rope in line. This time when I finally rode on RnR, I felt the loops and even felt like I was falling out. The loops seemed to last forever! It even scared me! I don't know if the coaster was going slower or just the fact that we were further in the back than usual. My husband even noticed and said he bet that woman was ready to kill me about now.

The take off might take your breath away, but you will kick yourself if you don't try to ride it. It's a great ride.

I have always been afraid of coasters that went upside down, but I bit the bullet and rode the Rock n Roller Coaster on the first day (gulp) of our honeymoon. I was so upset that DH scheduled MGM the first day and that we were supposed to follow his guidebook and begin with the Tower of Terror and then the Aerosmith coaster. Since I was so scared of going upside-down, I didn't want my "will I or won't I chicken out" moment so early in the trip. Illogical, right? But so is my fear of going upside-down (I guess?).

Anyhow, I was terrified in the line and practically hyperventilating once I was locked in. But, I followed DH's advice to put my head back, and I also improvised by putting my cheek to one side of the bar and closing my eyes! In the end, it was scary but really fun. DH thought it was hilarious that I, the screamer, did not make a peep. I couldn't really tell that we were going upside-down, but I never believed other people when they said that.

In a way, it is less scary than Space Mountain (though way faster) because you don't have the sensation of height (at least I didn't). Also, I almost prefer the launch to the slow chugging up the first hill that many rides have. That scares me more.

I also felt pretty safe with the bar over my shoulders.

I think you'll be fine! I won't EVER ride a coaster that is high up and outside, but I plan to ride the Rock n Roller coaster many more times in the future.

Good luck!

I don't mind the upside down loops but the force usually forces my head down because i anticipate them. With the RRC though, you don't see it coming and its over before you know it. My 7 year old and I loved it and its a must try.

The first time I rode RNR, my teen age niece was with me and she kind of shamed my into riding it. That and the fact I saw a t-shirt that said it was over in less than three minutes (I think) on a youngster. Thought, "if he can do it, so can I!"

It was great and is now one of my favorite rides.

Try it once, if you don't like it, it doesn't last long and you don't have to do it again - ever!!

I don't like roller coasters, but I love RNR. If you can do Space Mt., you can do RNR. I don't like Space Mt. and won't ride it again. It's too herky jerky. But RNR is smooth -- you'll hardly know that you did a loop it is so smooth and so fast.
