I read on another thread that Rock and Rollercoaster doesnt have any drops? Dbf loves thrill rides so I would like to go on as many as possible with him, but i HATE drops..

RnR does not have any steep drops that I recall. But you are propelled fairly fast at the start. I think it's that initial push that provides most of the monentum for the ride. I think this is the best ride at WDW.

If it has no steep drops, is it a lot of loops? I prefer loops to drops. Drops freak me out. I'm not sure if I will make it on TOT for that reaon.

Fun ride- sooo smooth, well after that blast off at the start....LOL. It is one of my favorite rides too and I hate rollercoasters!
While no drops there are a couple of loops, but your moving so fast in the dark you hardly notice.... :rotfl2:
Beware once you ride you will be hooked!

You guys are good. . . I was laughing & screaming so much, I couldn't tell you if there were loops or drops or anything! :goodvibes

No drops (I don't like them either). It does loop and it goes really really fast. Lots of fun in the dark with lighted signs and stuff.

Rock n' rollercoaster is our favorite ride :teeth:

I like it because it is quite an adventure however it is located inside so it is not high at all. Space mountain you walk down, so you have bigger drops.
Rock n' rollercoaster seems to start on the same ground level. There are a couple of loops and a corkscrew...

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

woo hoo :woohoo: can't wait to go back to ride again :Pinkbounc

I find it is not that smooth a ride if you are sitting in the last car. Only rode in the last car once (have ridden about 15 times) and it was the only time I did not enjoy the ride.

Is this ride totally dark or is there some visibility as the ride goes? I am not afraid of looping rollercoasters but the whole "being in the dark" thing kind of freaks me a little.

Mostly in the dark, but you can see the track pretty well, and there are various "lit up" landmarks along the way. It's nowhere near as dark as Space Mountain.

when me and my husband rode that before the 3 kids were born we rode that a lot. but no drops but in the front you go zooming

It's one of my faves, but I ride it with my eyes closed so I can't answer the drops question!

Sounds right. I, on the other hand, LIKE drops...I think there may be one or two SMALL ones as you're going through some of the signs, etc. I could be wrong; it basically isn't that high. I agree with NotTooGoofy about the momentum. Great ride no matter what!!

For Space Mt, when you're in the queue area, it's actually going DOWN??? Wow...never realized that!!! Learn something new on the Dis every day!!

Like others have said, it's so fast and you're looking at the lighted stuff the whole time you don't have time to be scared. It's a great ride!

no drops that i recall

the blast off in the beginning is so fast i think it feels like a drop.

Best advice ive seen in a long time!!! Excellent ride, smoother then any other. Drops are little and I believe there are 2 loops and a corkscrew. All I can say is that Im addicted.....
