Rochester, NY Airport?

Has anyone flown out of there?

Air Tran has good prices on direct flights out of there, but I'm not familiar with the area. Went there in August to hit the Lands End store, but I didn't really look around.

Any info on the airport or Air Tran is appreciated!

Hi,
I have flown out of there before and think it is a nice airport. Both times that I have been there it wasn't overly busy which helped my impression quite a bit. Never flown Airtran, so can't help you there.

As you can see from my location, I live in Rochester. The airport is about a mile from our house. We fly AirTran out of Rochester and have flown with them at least 10-12 times. If you can get the non-stop flights, those are terrific, but even the connecting flights are cheap too.

The airport is busy at the usual times, early in the morning, picks up a little in mid-late afternoon but it is small, esp compared to the Buffalo airport. There are a couple of places to catch a bite to eat.

Parking prices depend on where you park, we do the yellow lot, which is $6.00 day, quick shuttle to the terminal. I don't recommend the red lot as it is across the street and there have been numerous break-ins at that lot, according to my local paper! Here's the parking lowdown:
