Are there robes in the rooms on the Fantasy? Concierge or non-concierge - would love to know both.

Thanks!

We were in a non concierge room on the Fantasy. We did not have robes in our room. I have read on here that you can borrow one from the spa and use it for the length of your cruise. I plan to do that next time for sure!

Concierge (Category T, anyway) does indeed have robes - one for each person booked in the stateroom.

I hope this is true! I would love to do that.

Just off the 3/29 Fantasy. We asked our Stateroom Host if we could borrow robes for the duration of the cruise. When we returned from dinner the first night, they were hanging in our room. I love those robes! No better way to enjoy room service coffee on the veranda in the morning :coffee:

Slightly off topic, but what size are the robes? I'm plus sized and would love to know that they would fit me as well. Sometimes "one size fits all" isn't really the case. Does anyone know?

Not trying to resurrect an old thread, but does anyone know if this is still the case? I'm not concierge but would love to request one on the Fantasy and not have to pack mine. TIA!

They brought us robes that fit and we are not "one size fits all" sized. They were the terry inside and cotton outside spa robes with the DCL logo.

If they do lend out robes, do they charge a deposit incase it is not returned? Just curious how it works because I would love to not have to pack my robe!

These are the small things that make this board soooo useful!!

If we were charged a deposit, it never showed up on our shipboard account. Perhaps its noted somewhere else...like they will charge you if you steal the red pillow, but you aren't precharged for it "incase you forget to leave it in the room when you leave". LOL

We've only done non-concierge and were never given robes.

Or those fancy laundry bags!

Yep! On our very first cruise with DCL, a few weeks upon our rerurn at home we received a "final bill" charging us for the laundry bag. Not knowing what it was since it was never in our stateroom, i called and it took a while (had to speak with more than one person) but the charge was finally reversed. On our second cruise, we did have a laundry bag in our stateroom, so now we know to check to make sure it's there so they don't think we "borrowed " it to take home!

we had the same problem but with different circumstances!

Just curious - what did they charge for the laundry bag? I wonder how many people don't notice it on a bill.

The first time it happened to us (on the Dream), I honestly thought that the bag was complimentary. There was no note or indication that our account would be charged if we used it. Luckily, we discovered the charge before we exited the ship (that was the trip that the room steward was constantly checking everything in our stateroom -- even to the point of pushing past us to see if everything was in order!) We had it removed before we left the ship and returned the bag.

That was also the room steward who tried to accuse us of taking the life vests -- until we explained they were under the bed. Strange little guy!
