Right, feeling much better today! Ready for a bit more wedding planning and some happier things methinks!

Firstly, a friend of mine was at a wedding at our venue this weekend... I was looking through her photos and it was so lovely to see the room all set up for a proper function!

It got me thinking about decorations, and I'm currently thinking that maybe some butterfly garlands around the pillars in the room would look nice and tie into our theme.... I love this one:

But I also like this one... I think the silvery colour looks slightly moth-like??

I'm still hoping we can make the large topiary trees and decorate them with the birds and fairies and things... I think they'd look great in the room, and fill some of the space up a bit as we aren't a huge group of people...

I've also been thinking about the decorations for the tables and I really think these sort of centerpieces would look good....

Maybe with green crystals though?? I thought some green votive candle holders would look quite nice dotted around these on the tables? I think the candle light would give a lot of atmosphere as it gets dark and would reflect off the crystals beautifully!

I'm also warming to the idea of chair covers.... Unfortunately, Robert hates chair covers. The chairs at our venue are green, so they do match, but I'm just wondering if it would look better to have the covers on them?? It might be quite pricey, and that does concern me as the budget it spiraling a bit too much atm... I suppose once people are sat on them they'd hardly be seen though.... :confused3

wow the venue looks fantastic all done up. I love the butterfly garland idea! pretty

See, I thought that too, but then I realised they'd be in a lot of the photos... Thats why I'm having a hard time choosing!

I personally don't like chair covers. Usually, the venue does not steam them, so there are creases all over the place. In my opinion, this does not look good in photos. I do think that you should dress them up a little though, maybe just do a sash in a coordinating color (just like the purple sashes in your venue pictures). That should be enough to have a dressed up feel, but also save you a lot of money on rentals. :)

Oh my God Bob!So so sorry to hear about the accident!Sounds terrible!you poor thing, you must be completely shaken up!Can't imagine what that was like! Glad to hear though that the boys mam knew her son was in the wrong. The kids that live in my estate are lethal for pulling out in front of cars and again without any kind of helmets or padding...big  hope your feeling ok!:goodvibes

Hope you and robert enjoyed your 'last day of college' day! Must be a relief to be out of uni! That sounds like a really good degree, plenty of different areas you could go into. Any idea of what you might like to do? In keeping with the theme of these boards I'm studying animation. really really love it :lovestruc but my college is a bit dodgy so can't wait to get out working after next year.(thats if there are jobs to be had  )

Well from what I've seen here, you don't have terrible taste in anything!:goodvibes and if you do, then so do I!

The venue looks spectacular all set up!can only imagine how great it's going to look for your day!!! The butterflies and center pieces are stunning, the clear butterflies do look slightly moth like but like beautiful moths that you wouldn't mind in your room fluttering around your light bulb at night, not at all like those gross hairy ones!:scared1:

I'd be like you as regards updos, I don't really like to have my hair off my face...have you tried out a 50s starlet/ pin up type hair do? like marilyn monroe/ audrey hepburn/ jayne mansfield type thing? could really tie in with your dress...(I just adore the 50s:lovestruc always trying to force it on people!)

xoxo

Hey hun!

Sorry i havent been on for agesssss, my internet at home is meant to be dis connected but for some reason - i am connected! hah. i have been catching up on your pj.

I love that castle hotel for your honeymoon - that is TOOOOO ROMANTIC!!

I love that slip you have got- where did you find it / website- (i have been looking for bits like that but when i search wedding lingerie it comes up with the sluttest stuff i have ever seen! haaha!

The butterflies are so perfect- Bob- i cannot wait for your wedding - the photos the venue take from it will have to be the advertising photos- it will look amazing- everyone there will be amazed - i would be! its just this whole idea of he enchanted thing is just ''wow'' its beautiful. Welllll done you! The thing is, you can just get little bits from everywhere that would go with the theme (oooh btw - a wedding i went to in a barn a week before xmas last year had those tree / bark / branches were on the tables and they were covered with dangling crystal diamond thingys - that were clearly xmas decorations- they looked sooooo pretty! - ooh p.s - i nicked loads of the diamond thingys off the tree because i was in love with them!) haha!

And dont worry about that stupid kid - he deserves a flipping broken leg. Whenever i see people acting stupid in the roads, i think '' i am not slowing down for you, and i am not swerving out the way for you when you should not be playing in the road!'' - i havent run down anyone yet but i will one day because there are toooooo many stupid kids playing around in the road!

oh and i feel for you about the uni thing - i was so pressured to go uni and i did not want to go - all i wanted to do was get a job (i didnt want any debt, and everyone was like ''oooh yeah when you go uni you get drunk every night and its so fun'' - and i just thought you know what, i aint paying £££'sss to get drunk everynight, plus i dont even want to go uni so leave me alone!!! heh. You should be proud of yourself for keeping it up though, because i know lots of people that hated uni and dropped it halfway through.

sorry for the long message and if there are any spelling mistakes - i am a bit drunkles (sexand the city boxset, bottle of wine- stacey's perfect night in!)

x

dont even go there with the over indulging! I cannot stop myself from eating a multi pack of crisps followed by choc and washed down with wine! (and thats after a lovely Chinese take away!) HELP ME! hahaha - i have always been a food bag (thats my nick name, food bag, i eat everything, and dont stop eating!) hah.

my motto- you only live once - you can diet, but dieting doesnt make me happy and food makes me happy so i must eat food!

Im so bad.

ooh yeah im having a look now! i have never really ventured onto the confetti site- there just seems so much to look at! Its really good!

Those are sooo great! I love that youare using them as placecards... I never would have thought of that!

I know this is not related but I now love the phrase "slut-tastic" great stuff!:rotfl:
