They got three sales from us because we were freezin' (which means I got three new articles of Disney clothing as the boys will never wear them outside of Disney World!)
Just Beware of THESE KIND OF PEOPLE AROUND THESE PARKS!!!!!!

Good point; but a metal detector and through searches might cause people to carry only items they really need into the parks. It is unreal, some of the tons of stuff I've seen people lug into the parks. Don't bother me none that they do tho. I'm just happy not to be carrying anything but myself. If it isn't something I'm likely to really need, or if it won't fit in a cargo shorts pocket, it ain't a-gonna go into the park with me. Not nohow, not no way.Luv2Roam said:Can you imagine trying to get into any Disney park and having to pass a metal detector first? People complain about airports. Wait until that would happen to get into MK. The line to enter would be backed up to the Contemporary.

The Sweetness said:If that were the case, the CMs could have at least handed over one of their own (its so common now to carry a cell phone, esp if your work phone can't dial out). Just to try to do SOMETHING to help in this extremely stressfull situation. I certainly would have![]()

As my DW and I rode Thunder Railroad my disabled MIL watched our DD and rode her on her electric scooter. She went in the store at Splash Mountain to let our DD look around. We had our princess backpack attached to the basket on the front of the scooter. My dd was showing my MIL something she liked and when she looked back the backpack was gone. She immedently contacted a CM and they contacted security. My DW and I in the mean time had finished riding the ride and asked to use the phone to cancil our credit cards and cell phone since my DW purse and phone was in the back pack. The CM at the store refused to let us use there phone and directed us to the payphones outside the bathrooms at Splash Mountain. While we were franticly calling banks and cell phone company. A CM supervisor comes up and asks what has happened. We tell him the story and he asks us if we like for him to call security and file a report. YESSSSSSSSSSSS we tell him. Ten minitues later a female CM supervisor shows up with our back pack and says she found it in the ladies bathroom in a stall with the shoulder strap cut.The thief had stolen the cash out of my DW wallet as well as a gift card she had recieved at work for Christmas. Luckly they did not get any identification, credit cards, cell phone, cameria or a Disney visa reward card with $140 on it. We ended up losing $150 in the deal, but it could have been worse. I guess the moral of the story is that mean heartless people vist Disney as well and prey on us nice Disney lovers. We filed a report when security finally came by 45 minutues later. Disney was not much help at all. Please watch your valuables at all times.
mikiclements said:amazingly they don't check people, just bags. unless something has changed. I went earlier this year and there was no metal detector, just rent- a- cops going sloppily through bags and looking bored.
My wallet was returned with all cards / ids still inside so I thought I was safe, until I found out that someone used my info to open a line of credit at QVC and home depot. The theif usually justs copeies down your info and uses it later.

I don't understand how you can order merchandise through the mail -- it gets delivered SOMEwhere, doesn't it? Wouldn't that information help nab the people doing it?
They would only confirm the first one of $100, since it was going to our home address.
