We're staying at WL in Sept. and will be wanting mostly quick breakfasts. I'm thinking that instead of using up CS credits, we'll use snack credits for breakfast. I've seen the confirmed snacks list and was just looking for clarification. What is the oatmeal that is listed? Can you get oatmeal with toppings as a snack or would that be considered a CS credit? What about the yogurt parfaits- snack or CS credit? Maybe we need to plan to use a couple of CS credits to get hot breakfasts? I can't seem to wrap my head around how this will work!

:) Generally when using your CS at a breakfast..I think the best deal is to get the "breakfast platter". It has eggs, bacon, biscuit, breakfast potatoes and maybe a Mickey waffle. You usually get a drink of some kind and a dessert which would be a small yogurt or piece of fruit--you would have to confirm that). It is a fair amount of food and can be shared with someone. I like a hot breakfast, where as my DH prefers an early lunch. We could split the breaskfast as my CS credit and hamburger and fries at lunch with his CS credit with snacks in between. THe food at Disney is served in very decent portions. He and I are both pooh sized and it is always plenty. If you want to use a snack credit for a daish or something that is fine, too.

:)You used to get a juice with the drink but I think they have eliminated one or the other this year. So you maybe would get the extra drink with a snack credit or just pay OOP--if sharing a breakfast. I hope that makes sense.

:)When using a CS credit you of course want to get the bang for your buck. That is why I would pick one of the combo type offerings when using those. Just getting a danish would not be a "economic" way to use that kind of credit. OF course you could ge the danish as the dessert with the breakfast, take it back to the room and have it the next morning then use the CS for that day at lunch. I hope I am helping....:wizard:

Thanks, that's what I was thinking if we use CS credits- use one and share.

Anyone know about the oatmeal and yogurt at RF- can you get those as snacks?

We have had the yogurt for breakfast, with a snack credit, many times elsewhere. I would assume it is the same at Roaring Forks. We always use snack credits for breakfast - muffins, yogurt, cereal, etc. are usually snack credits.

We usually use our snack credits for b'fast.

The yogurt parfaits do count as a snack, I think the oatmeal is the single serve microwave cup kind but I'm not sure.

We usually stay at the YC and will hit the BC market place for b'fast. We usually get a crossant, a yogurt parfait, and a bluberry muffin, for 3 snack credits and then pay oop for 2 coffees and a juice or milk (for DD) - it runs us around $6 each morning. DD and I will split the crossant with jelly and share the yogurt. DH loves the blueberry muffins and will never share!

If you are not big breakfast eaters this will work out fine - if you feel like you need more for b'fast maybe you could get the b'fast sandwich oop - it's not a lot of money.

I am new to the Disney dining thing...on wdwinfo it states you can get a dessert with lunch/dinner only. Can you still get a "dessert" with breakfast?

I do not believe so. Breakfast now is 1 drink and 1 entree.

When we were there in November we got 1CS - Bounty Platter and 2 bagels for 4 people to share (2 adults/2 kids). We had mugs and if we did not want a drink they would let us subsitute a "snack" item for a drink. My kids would get cereal, oatmeal, muffins or fruit platters.

It really was a lot of food and when our 9 days was done, we still had 4 CS left. Hard to imagine but WDW really is a ton of food.
