Do you have any recommendations on what to get from Roaring Forks?
We'll mostly have breakfast there, but I'm open to hearing about lunch, dinner and snack ideas!
I like the Turkey and Brie sandwich, my husband gets the Grilled Chicken Salad, and my son likes the Ham and Cheddar sandwich (see descriptions below). He said his burger there was good too. The portions are large as well. While they do not have a big selection, everything we have gotten there (we stay at the Lodge every year) has been fresh and tasty. We eat lunch there at least once a trip (always on our DHS days because we just don't care for the counter service there).
Ham and Tillamook Cheddar on Whole-Grain Mustard Rye $6.49
Smoked Turkey and Brie on Honey-Oatmeal Bread with Tarragon Mayo spread and Mizuna Lettuce $6.49
Grilled Chicken Salad with Apple Vinaigrette - Granny Smith Apples, Candied walnuts, Tillamook cheddar cheese, croutons $7.99
My wife and I ate there when we came down without the kids for our anniverary last year. We had stayed previously at the BW so having a place to eat in the hotel was nice especially for a quick breakfast. There breakfast portions were large. I don't think we had lunch there so I can't comment. All in all, very good.
We ate dinner there a couple of years ago--had the typical cheeseburger, etc., because we were hungry and it was "resort wandering day." It was better than the food we had at the Caribbean food court, but that wasn't saying much.
My daughter & love the Turkey & Brie sandwich. The kids meals are good too. Like a PP said, they don't have a lot but it is good. Haven't tried breakfast but probably will on our Jan. trip.
