Roadtrip help - Chattanooga

We are driving from Wisconsin to DW the first week of December and I'm wondering what the road conditions in Chattanooga are like that time of year. We would most likely be driving through sometime between 2-4p.m. on I24. Anyone from the area or made the drive in winter before? We have driven that way once before but it was in summer and conditions were good. Our other option is to take I65 through Alabama but it will add time to the trip. Which route would you take?

I wouldn't worry. The first week of December in Tennessee is more like this time of year in Wisconsin. It may be a little chilly, but there shouldn't be snow. Or if there is, it won't stick.
