Roads from TPA to WDW?

Anyone fly into Tampa lately? We leave in less than a week and we are flying into Tampa. Sounds like MCO got hit pretty hard with the Hurricane. Just wondering how the Tampa airport is? Any problems with car rentals? How are the freeways to WDW?

We have flown into Tampa before. Just wondering if we should be expecting any major changes.

The Tampa area wasn't hit with the hurricane. I-4 is under construction 24 hours a day. So plan for extra time for your drive and you will be ok.

We left the night before charley hit and we flew out of TPA. The earlier reply was right just allow for a little time because of the construction and it will be easy drive. The airport is really a easy set up. The rental cars are just outside baggage claim really easy. But if you rented a minivan watch out they might hit you for extra on a grand caravan vs caravan. Have a good trip!!!!

We have driven to WDW from TPA before. The construction has been going on for year's. This is the first time I am glad we are flying into Tampa. Sounds like the Orlando airport got hit pretty hard by the hurricane.

We only have a compact reserved. So no problem with the minivan thing.
