It sure if this is the right place to post thing but here goes! I'm going on a Disney vacation I. A few weeks with my boyfriend and his brother. I've always driven so we are driving from nj to fl and then back. I never really stop at anything because I prefer to drive at night. They have never driven those states before ( nj, de, md, va, nc, sc, ya and fl) so on the way home we are leaving one day late at 6am from Orlando. Does anyone know of any fun stops along that way not more than an hour off 95? Minus south of the border I have never stopped anywhere. Boyfriend is 26 his brother is 22. Thanks!

More info? Such as what are your interests (museums, parks, shopping food, etc.), how long would you like the detour, etc.?

just so you know..... you can take the auto train from VA to FL in just one direction. We did this going down one year and arrived rested and ready to go. Then we drove home and were sure to include Shenandoah National Park. Also stopped at Antietam in Maryland. We don't travel 95 though. We take the more westerly route which is, in large part 81 and 77. In North Carolina we stopped in the Mooresville area to visit NASCAR sites.

oh, and we also stopped in DC before we got the train since Lorton, VA isn't far away.

We are auto train pros!

We drove that drive last year and there is not much that we saw lol. I do know that you can choose to go pretty close to dc so you have all those museums and stuff if you are willing to deal with dc. There is also the Baltimore aquarium and the six flags theme park which I believe is also around Baltimore.
