Mine is awfully long.
I had everything from my lower right thigh to my upper right calf/shin and everything in between removed and replaced.
Cut out with a saw,and replaced with a piece of metal.
Then drilled into the remainder of my bone.
Yowza!
SOOO painful.
I was even offered an epidural for pain!
Now I'm at home recooperating.
Or laying in bed all day while my body stiffens up.
Take your pick.
It just hurts so incredibly bad.
I'm on 2 different painkillers,and they're not helping.
I know the pain will never go away completely, but it still hurts.
My incision is 23 cenitmeters long, and so long they couldn't give me regular stitches, instead dissolvable ones.
I'm not allowed to put weight on my leg for 4-6 weeks.
I won't take my first steps until around 3 or 4 weeks.
And just lifting my leg,impossible.
I'm sick and tired of being sick and I just want to be normal again.
Anyone want to take my place?
Thanks for letting me vent.
Sonya.
