Has anyone ever bought shoes from roadrunnersports.com?

Do you have any positive or negative comments?

Thanks,

Mike

I haven't bought anything from their website, but I used to always go to their store (we have one locally). They were extremely knowledgable and helpful. Only reason I stopped going was because I got bigger discounts at a local store that sponsors my current tri team.

My only issue with them is that they can be pretty expensive. I got discounts because the manager at my local store supported the tri team I was training with at the time and knew our coach really well.

Personally, I wouldn't want to buy shoes or accessories online because I have to try everything out first. I'm paranoid that way. I also like actually talking with the people working there and usually end up talking to the employees for at least 5 minutes. Plus, I like supporting some of the local stores as well.

I love Road Runner!
I joined their VIP program, which only cost a dollar or two. With that, I save 10%, and sometimes 20%. I also get free shipping, and I think I can return anything for 90 days, even if I've worn it. They have occasional buy one get one half off sales, which are great for me because my husband and I are both runners.
I only order shoes I have tried on or have worn in the past, so I never get stuck with an ill fitting shoe.
Though I had to send back a pair of tights and a pair of insoles, I've never had a problem with the shoes.
Just my 2 cents.

Big roadrunnersports fan. I find their prices to be very competitive ,service excellent and knowledge superior.

I love road runner sports as well. They know they're stuff and the one by me is pretty big to so they have a huge selection. Also I'm a big fan of most of their RoadRunnerSports brand running apparel. The rain jackets they have are amazing (the best 80 bucks I've ever spent, they're lifesavers at disney). I love their shorts, and they have a whole slew of shirts/etc that are all very comfortable and usually have little innovative touches

I bought my most recent pair of shoes from my local Road Runner Sport. The only bad thing I've heard about them is that they do automatic renewal on VIP membership. Renewal rates are $24.99.

Thanks for all your input. I am planning on getting a new pair of exactly the same shoe I had and road runner still had it.

I tried to order my shoes from Road Runner Sports, but by the time I decided they were out of my size. Then I went to Amazon, and they had them, fufilled by road runner sports for the same price. So I ended up getting them from Road Runner anyway. They came in a couple of days and there was no issues.

When I tried them on the first thing I noticed was that the laces were about 1/2" further apart than on my old pair. I had not realized the insoles of my old show was that bad.

Got a couple of runs in this week and they feel great.

Thanks again for the help,

Mike

Never bought from there, but just wanted to say HI :wave2: to you and to Rose!! I am the woman you guys were chatting with in Corral B before the Wine and Dine!! Will you guys be at marathon weekend 2012?

Oh and I've also heard good things about runningwarehouse.com and we get a WISH team discount. I think the code is in the "sticky" post that has all of the team links...
