Road ID question???

I have the ankle version. I use it for running and biking. It never bothers me. I wear quarter socks. I also have homemade tags in all of my shoes ('cause sometimes I forget). All the pertinent info printed and covered with packaging tape. Looped and taped like a D-chip in the laces.

I have the same information taped to the outside of my bike helmet. Hopefully that stays with me.

I had three bad bike wrecks this year - two with broken helmets - never lost a helmet.

I've got one on my shoe. It may not be the ideal placement, but right now at least I've got something.

Ok, I ordered the dog tag version. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for your input. It was VERY helpful, and I hope it helped those who were just lurkers too. :rolleyes1

my quote at the bottom is DLF>DNF>>DNS = WISH :goodvibes

I just got my RoadID in the mail today. I got the basic wrist version in red. I'm kicking myself for not getting it sooner.

I highly recommend getting one if nothing else, for your family's piece of mind.

RoadID's service was excellent and I had it just a few days after ordering online.

SNAP!!! I missed your coupon code Jeff, but I believe the day I ordered you were a little busy.......running a marathon. :lmao:

I got it in the mail on Thursday, and it had been bent during shipping. I was prepared for a battle when I called customer service, but no battle was necessary. They apologized and said they would send me a new one, and would send a prepaid envelope to send the dented one back. I should have the new one by Tuesday. I ran with the dented one on Saturday, and didn't even know it was there. I LOVE it, especially since it has my WISH motto on it. :thumbsup2

Congratulations on a brilliant and inspired decision and may you never have a need for the Road ID.

I've decided to go with the dog tag version and now I'm trying to figure out what to include for the text.

Does anyone know whether NKA indicates that I have no allergies to things like nuts as well as drug allergies? Or should I list both NKA and NKDA?

I'm doing the interactive ID so I have 3 lines available. I'm thinking...

Name / DOB
City, State, USA
LUPUS / NKA

NKA = you know of no allergies - including foods
The D limits this to drug allergies.

Only one is required....

Just wondering if anyone has tried the elite version yet. I have the regular version but it's a little annoying to use in the winter when you're trying to put gloves on and the velcro gets stuck to your hand.

I bought my DH the wrist version. It took him a little while to get used to wearing it but now wears it on every run. I told him he wasn't allowed to run outside wihtout it, so he could not wear it and not run.

His has our house number, home number, his name, city/state, and a quote.

I have the elite. and love it.

I did not cut the band as small as I could so that I could slip it over my tops easily.
My sun block has bleached the inside so that is now pink. i like the tow color mix!

I've actually been in contact about what it would take to do the W.I.S.H. logo on the FiXX ID (the one that looks like military dog tags). I think it would be really cool but I just didn't know if anyone would care so I dropped the idea.

Thanks for the info Jeff. This is something I have been putting off for a while but I need to get one. After looking at them I think I'd go with the elite. It just looks more comfortable.
