Have done Everest in the past many times and enjoy it. Was not a big fan of ToT after a few drops

Was looking to do RnRC in April. Not huge fan of flips. Haven't done them since my youth!!

How much more intense is RnRC over Everest?

I personally find them about equal.

Sadly, I am beginning to feel my age as well and what I loved and could do multiple times in a row can only do about once

I love Everest! The loops on RNRC don't bother me, but I find the overhead restraint to be uncomfortable. It knocks against my head and makes the ride less enjoyable. For me, Space Mountain is more intense than Everest and RNRC even though it has no loops.

The loops arent bad, what I hate (yes hate) is the 0-60, I'm a shaking mess at take off. I look forward to the loop. My daughter loves that I scream

The 0-60 launch is the best part! Hahah. I love the feeling.

Growing up in Southern California and being close enough to Six Flags Magic Mountain, Knotts Berry Farm, etc, I've ridden a lot of intense coasters and I can say that RNRC has the smoothest flips out of any other coasters I have ridden. You almost don't even feel like you're going upside-down although you're aware that you obviously are going upside-down.

I love RNRC and Everest and they're both a little intense but I can't really compare the 2. RNRC is intense because of the launch, loops, speed, theme and music. Everest is intense because of the drops, speed, backward drop and theme. The main difference is Everest doesn't go upside-down and RNRC doesn't have any drops.

If you're not a flip person you probably won't like RnR as much as Everest. It's definitely more high speed and compact. A few parts (the first 15 seconds in paricular) are definitely more intense than Everest. But the rest I would say is comparable with them being intense in different ways. But it's a great coaster and not to be missed. If you can handle Everest you can handle RnR - you may not love it but you'll never know if you don't try. I can't imagine it would traumatize you! : )

[Edit: Also if you haven't done a roller coaster with flips for a while, you might be surprised. I do agree the loops on this you hardly notice as being loops. You feel the spiral 360s a little more]. It's also relatively smooth (although getting a bit bumpier with age) and fast so you don't feel them as much.

I used to wonder about this, because it seems like you are never too old to just sit in a roller coaster seat. But I read that as you age the balance function in your inner ear starts to respond more slowly, so it is more difficult to regain your equilibrium after being thrown into a blender for a few minutes. Just keep riding until you can't anymore!

I love Everest, it's so smooth and thrilling!

RnRC loops are too slow and I feel like I'm going to fall out, the music is SO LOUD it hurts my ears. I'm very short and the over the shoulder harness is uncomfortable and smashes my ears on the loops, OWWW. It's the only thrill ride in Disney World I absolutely refuse to go on ever again.

Even so, if I were you I'd try it at least one time - you might love it. :)

I love coasters with inversions, and RnRR is a good one; though the inversions are mild, and don't have as much impact in the dark. If I had to choose, though, I'd pick Everest. It's the better ride.

I think the rides are fairly "even" in terms of "thrill". As for the inversions, I actually find the Everest inversion to be far more disorienting than RnR's. So in my opinion, if you can handle Everest, you should be able to enjoy RnR. Just keep your head pinned to the headrest at takeoff!

I love Everest and find it very smooth. RnRC is rougher in my opinion. Also, I don't know if it's because I'm short or what, but my head ends up banging back and forth against the over-the-shoulder harness like it's a ping pong ball. I still ride it, though! But I'm once and done with that whereas Everest I usually do twice.

I can do RnRR without any issues but EE sends my equilibrium into orbit and it takes me a few hours to get my inner ear back to normal...I think it has something to do with going backwards on EE.

RNRC gives me a massive headache every time. I have no side effects from EE.
My head bounces against the shoulder harness and it's just so not worth it.

A lot of people may disagree with me, but the first couple times I rode RNRC, I would also get a bit of a headache. My wife would also get a headache from the ride. After a couple times of riding it, I realized it's much better to only pin your head to the headrest for the launch. After that, I lean my head forward and don't get any uncomfortable head bouncing back and forth and side to side. I told my wife to try this also and now she can ride without getting a headache as well.

RnRc is much more intense I feel. If you are not ready/prepared for when that car takes off.......hold on to your head....literally!

I think as far a inversion coasters go RnRC is among the tamer, smoother ones. The most thrilling part is the take off and then the first section of track immediately afterwards, after that it calms down significantly and (imho) feels tamer than EE. I'm not sure if the tracks are the same or not(?) but I used to be terrified of going upside down and RnRC in DLP was the first one I ever went on - and I've never looked back! I love inversions now!

I love all types of roller coasters, but I cannot ride Expedition more than once a day. The high positive G force going backwards really messes with my head. But I can ride RnR over and over again with no problem. I honestly think that if you like Everest, you will be fine with RnR. And considering inversions, I do like them, but not on a ride that tries to get as amany inversions as possible. But that is not even close to the case on RnR.

I agree. I love both. Everest is intense for size and speed. RnRC is intense for the launch. I love both, but have to give the (very slight) nod toward RnRC as my favorite WDW ride.. Compared to other inverted coasters, it is mild. In fact, Disney World coasters are the smoothest I've ever ridden. Iagree you should keep your head pressed back into the seat.

Oh, and yes, I do pass on intense rides as I age. There are many 6 flags Coasters I won't ride...
