We will be in hollywood studios on december 28. I already have a fast pass for toy story, but would like to go on rnr. We don't plan on being there for rope drop because we would like to stay and see the fireworks. We have late fast passes and dinner with minnie at 5:45. What would be a good time to go on rnr with the shortest wait? How long do you think the wait would be? We will also we be getting a rider swap because my son will be too short. Can i bring both my daughters back in the line with me or will they only let one go a second time?

1. If you can get a rider swap pass...
2. Yes.
3. No.

At that time of year. You'll be lucky to see under 90 minutes if you aren't there at rope drop unless you are very lucky. It will be crowded and with less things to do at HS it will be even more busy that time of year.

Do you think it will still be around 90 minutes even at 11pm? Thanks for the chart i will go look at it.

I would go for rope drop, then head back to your hotel to rest before you dinner. That way you can stay up and see the fireworks.

We last did Christmas in'10 under the old system. DHS was hard to predict and I'll explain. Remember this is under the old FP system so it could be a little different now. We hit DHS at least 4 times on that trip and we were always there in the evening. One of the 4 nights for some reason the park was dead by 10 and was open until 11 or midnight or even later. We got off and right back on for ToT and RnR 3-4 times each in a short time. The other 3 nights was typical and if you didn't have a FP you were waiting well over an hour even that late at night which we didn't think was too bad. Now, that winter was also very cold for Florida when we were down there and that had something to do with it as well. MK was open until 3am and we have a picture from a CM in looking down Main Street and there were like 20 people on Main Street at 11pm right after Christmas. This past summer trying to predict the new system was a little harder. Sometimes rides were low on wait times when they were typically high in the past and vice versa. Just remember you are going during Christmas and sometimes waiting in line isn't that bad. Enjoy the scenery and the time you have to be at a nice place during the holidays. We won't wait in long lines because we stay 10-14 days and hit all parks at least 4-5 times on each trip so we will space out our FP's and hit the major rides a couple of times with FP's. If the lines are small then we will jump in. Hope this helped and who knows, you may catch DHS on a slow night and if you do take advantage because that doesn't happen too often.

Probably not. But the Standby sign might say so. RnR and TSMM both have pretty inflated wait times posted a good portion of the day. Unfortunately, a lot of times you can't tell until you are in line. I think if you go right before 11, it will not be too bad.

We go at times that are not that busy. Not the lowest times of the year, but not crowded either. We have found the line for RNR to be greatly increased since FP+ and that includes both the regular standby and the single rider line. Unless you get there first thing at rope drop, it is typically a 60 minute wait. It is one of my favorite rides and I have not gotten to ride it since FP+ went to the tiered system. DD won't ride it and we always FP+ TSM for her. DH and I used to either FP it and take turns or take turns jumping into the single rider line. Now we can't FP+ it, and the single rider line is rarely under 30 minutes. We are not wiling to take a full hour out of DD's day waiting for us- and we both like it so we each feel too bad to go and not let the other one go. We got there about 10 minutes after rope drop last time, and RSR it was posted a 45 minute wait. The single rider line was posted at 10, so DH and I planned to take turns. We figured if we were lucky by the time he got done, it might be 20 minutes, which we would consider doable. Although it was posted at 10 minutes, he was in line for over half an hour in the single rider line. By the time he got out, the RNR line was posted at 60 minutes, and the single rider at 45. So, once I again, I didn't ride it. We always keep an eye at the wait times for it throughout the whole day, in hopes we can at least catch the single rider line low enough to get on it. Before FP+, we typically each waited 10 or 15 minutes in single rider if we did not FP it. You are going at the busiest time of the year. Even later at night, I would not expect to have the line be less than 60 minutes. You might get lucky and it is worth a try, but don't count on it.
