Riviera tower studios available early?

Six months ago, I very intelligently decided to schedule our Hollywood Studios day on the same day that we are switching hotels from Port Orleans Riverside to a tower studio at Riviera. Now that an early arrival is required to ride Rise of the Resistance, we are looking at a very loooooong day at Hollywood Studios with no hotel room to use for a midday nap. I know check-in for Riviera is supposed to be 4 pm, but has anyone ever gotten a notification that their room is ready earlier than that? We will have a gap in our schedule from about 1-4 that would be perfect time for a lie-down if we can get into our room early. However, I know it might be a long shot. I also have never stayed at a DVC resort before so I don't know if it's different. Has anyone ever lucked out in this way before?

It is possible for it to be ready before 4:00, I wouldn’t count on it. We have had some ready well before 4:00 and some ready we’ll after 4:00. Probably 50/50. Since tower studios are small they should not take much time to clean.

It really will all depend on how booked up the tower rooms during your stay.
I would not count on it being ready that early. You may get lucky and gave it around 3 ish,

It is one of the reasons why I sometimes double book myself for a night. So I am not homeless for the day, It is worth the extra points if my plans don’t allow me to sleep in until 11 and go to Disney Springs for lunch and shopping.

Best you can do is make sure you go to the front desk at POR before you head to HS to tell them to check you out because you are checking in at RIV. When you do online check in for RIV put that you are arriving early...like 8 am...even if you are not.

All this will help in the hopes you get in early.
