Rivers of Light Standby

I checked the weather and it’s completely pouring tomorrow, so I’m going to miss out on my Rivers of Light Fastpasses tomorrow night. We’re aiming to standby the 8:30 show tonight. How long before do I have to get there? Since it’s after park closing, when do they let people in?

Yeah, I got there a quarter to 8, and was seated about 5 minutes later. There seemed to be quite of bit of standby seats left, so I guess I had nothing to worry about.

We’ll be going to AK for the first time in March. We booked our FPs for other attractions, how should we best try to see this? Is it possible to get a fp for it after around 3 when mine will be used up? Or is the standby option viable? This will be in March. Busy time. Thanks

Standby is always available for any show. You'll likely get in with no issue if you arrive 30 min before showtime, but for a better choice in seats then youll want to arrive 45+ min prior to showtime regardless if you do standby or FP. Back when this show first started it was at capacity an hour before showtime..so it's died down some since then, but it's always better to be early.

Some have had luck refreshing the app and getting it as a 4th or more FP, some haven't and it's been long booked up. So it'll just depend that day when you're looking.

I personally wouldn't use a preFP for it. I'd use my other 3 then if I wanted, try to get it an as extra FP.

I agree with this. I hate having that last FP tied up so you can't look for a 4th.

I have never actually been to the show. But I've booked FP for my family of five as an additional FP before, but I canceled when we decided to head out early. And a few times, as a test, I've looked for it. The FP for RoL will more than likely be all booked up before that day, but on that day, people cancel them. If you look for one at a time and just refresh, refresh, refresh, they pop up eventually. It's never taken me long to find them. It's easy for a show, because there are only one (or two) time options. So, if you don't want to mess with standby, you could look for FP after you've done your three, and maybe even a 4th and 5th. Worst case, you have to go get in the standby line.

It's all sitting like Fantasmic. Just less leg room and not as big of an arena as Fantasmic.

If you'd like to stand, there's a couple spots outside the arena that people watch from. But there's only room for a few people so it's usually taken early
