Rivers of Light - COMING SOON???? Possibly September 15th???

Someone has just posted that TOURING PLANS is allowing Rivers of Light an event to select on September 23rd!

I just checked my AK date of Sept 17th and it is an option too!!

Is it safe to say that RoL will hopefully be starting soon??

UPDATE: I just did a search on Touring Plans and Rivers of Light begins to show up as an option on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th. Rivers of Light is not an option from September 6th - September 14th.

Do they know something we don't know??

UPDATED Aug 30: Sadly the options for Rivers of Light are no longer visible in Touring Plans for September. Not sure about after that. Oh well, it gives me something to look forward to in 2017.

Rivers of Light is able to be selected on Touring Plans to add to an event as of Thursday, September 15th!

I wouldn't bet on it. TP made some noise about it a few weeks ago, when Jungle Book's end was announced, saying it would debut mid-to-late September, but it appears to be speculation and I don't think there much other "buzz" out there to support it.

Thanks @Geoff_M. I wasn't aware of that.

Time will tell and until then I'll keep checking the Disney website to see if it either becomes and option for a FP+ reservation or a dining package reservation.

It's been a rumor for a couple weeks that Rivers of Lights will debut in September..but no word from Disney yet

If you look on the touringplans ROL attraction page, it says "Expected to open Sept. 15," but underneath says "Note:Slated to premiere some time in 2016. No specific date is known; anything listed here is a placeholder."

Touring Plans has had Rivers of Light on their schedule for September 15th for a while now. They do not know something we don't its just an estimate on their part. Rivers of Light is Progressing and it seems October the target at this point. I posted a video in my news round up thread a few days ago of testing going on and things were looking very good.

I have a theory that there really is no Rivers of Light, it's just a story started by Disney to keep people interested in Animal Kingdom until Pandora opens someday!

I believe as the others have stated that it's just a rumor, i'm guessing not until late October. I just want a 9pm AK closing time, if I get to see ROL yay and if not oh well but I would LOVE to be in the park that late!

That occurred to me as well. The park is open late for these events, no one expects ROL, but it would be a chance for a test run in front of an audience. I'm sure we'll hear all about it if/when it happens.

Agree, but it would be an opportunity for a sort of soft opening of the completed attraction. No one attending expects to see it, they could give it a whirl, and if an unforeseen problem popped up, it's happening in front of an audience admitted for free.

From what I have heard they aren't showing it to the public until they can get it to run for several days if not weeks in a row without problems.
