Is there a reason folks walk between GF/Poly a lot? In all my stays there I've only done it once.

I did it all the time to go to Poly food/bars from GF or vice versa. It (used to be) a pleasant walk on the water with a nice path. This time, I was walking to do a split stay, so with all my bags. Detour was not fun.

You'd also have to go that way to walk to MK from/to Poly. This is something some people would like to do over the crowded monorail or inaccessible boat.

Poly's gym is located at the GF and requires using that path.

It's also quite popular for runners/walkers (even more so since adding the full length to the MK from GF).

Personally we restaurant/bar hop frequently and would usually take the path, except for rain or mid-day heat. Obviously the monorail and resort boats are convenient alternatives for these purposes.

We walked to Poly from GF a lot, particularly if we are staying at VGF. When there isn't construction, the walk is lovely, not terribly long and you have great access to all of the restaurant/lounges at Poly.
