River Belle Terrace down in Oct

I have been checking the October calendar to find out when it will be posted. I just came across something new yesterday. River Belle Terrace will be closed in October, along w/ the Alice Ride. I really wanted to try this place- their menu looks delicious.

I am bummed that the Riverbelle Terrace will be closed. It has always been tradition to eat breakfast there the first morning of our trip. I love the Mickey Mouse pancakes. Now we don't know what to do the first morning!!!

Any ideas? We are staying at the GCH, and my bf can eat A LOT!!! Our first day in the park will be a Friday. Anyone know if the Tomorrowland Terrace will be open for breakfast? We really don't want to do a character breakfast as we will be eating at the Blue Bayou that afternoon. Plus we also don't want the Carnation Cafe as we plan on eating there that Saturday morning.

Have you tried White Water Snacks at the GCH? They have really yummy breakfast burritos. That way you can eat before you hit the parks and not waste valuable ride time.

We have never stayed at the GCH before, so we have no tried White Water Snacks. Is the burrito big enough to fill a large appetite? I know that they do not have many choices for breakfast either!

I think their portions are quite large, but if he is still hungry, they have plenty of other things available that he could supplement it with (fresh fruit, yogurt, danish, muffins, etc.).

Thanks for the ideas about where to have breakfast. We decided that we would eat somewhere around our hotel and meet up with the rest of the group (staying across the street) later in the morning. That way the guys can eat lots!!!

I doubt it will be open when we go... I have heard they are doing MAJOR work on the Riverbelle. Oh well, no eating Mickey Mouse pancakes while watching the birds and Mark Twain this trip! But there will still be people watching on Main Street at the Carnation!!!

Character Breakfasts are always super good! Storytellers if fun!

The River Belle Terrace went down for refurbishment on August 20th, the very first day that the discounted SoCal resident annual passes were no longer on blackout dates. Also the first day that the cast member main gate passes were no longer blacked out. In other words, August 19th was sort of the end of the summer season. Not quite though because the longer hours and fireworks every night went on for another week.

I understand that Cafe Orleans will be open for breakfast. However, you will probably need PSs as this is a sit down restaurant. Not sure if they will have Mickey Mouse pancakes on the menu or not.

The upper level is supposed to be a table service restaurant. The lower level will be a "scramble style" cafeteria (like Plaza Inn).

I can't wait until this place reopens. Its the only place I could find the veggie soup bowls!
