RIP - Wayne Allwine - the voice of Mickey Mouse.

"The voice of Mickey Mouse for over 25 years and a certified Disney Legend, Wayne Allwine, passed away Monday, May 18th at the age of 62 due to complications from diabetes.

Allwine was also a sound effects editor and foley artist for Walt Disney Studios.

He is survived by his wife, Russi Taylor, who incidentally has been the voice of Minnie Mouse since 1986."

It was a pleasure I meet both Wayne & Russi at the 1998 Disneyana Convention. Both great people. This was at the Author's Corner -- Outer Rim at the Contemporary September 9th, 1998.
