NEW YORK - Tony Randall , the comic actor known for playing lovably prissy characters, has died. He was 84.

So sad. I enjoyed him on the Odd Couple TV program.

He did have a child just a few years ago. I wonder how old that child is.

Well hell. That's 2 stars gone this week. He was funny. If memory serves, his young child is the only 1 he had. A girl i think. I suppose i should start looking for star number 3's obituary.

I think he had 2 children. I think the younger was born within the last year or 2.

RIP!

Tony had a daughter from his first marriage, a girl named Julia Laurette Randall.

**** UPDATE ****

I misunderstood what I read in the Internet Movie Database. Both of Tony Randall's children are from his second marriage. Sorry for the misinformation.

Tony Randall had a small part in Down With Love last year, a wonderful send up of the sixties romantic comedies that he was in so many of. It was great seeing him on the screen again. (BTW, the movie is well worth your time if you haven't seen it. Its hilarious).

Rest in peace Mr Randall.

Down With Love was a parody of all those 1960's comedies starring doris Day. Tony Randall appeared in so many of those -- hi s appearance in Down With Love was such a good inside joke.

Oh no. That just makes me wanna cry. :( I loved him, what a great actor and such a true gentleman. :( He'll be missed.

From IMDB

Married to Florence Gibbs from 1942 until her death in 1992.

Married to Heather Harlan since 1995. She is 50 years his junior. They have two children: Julia Laurette Randall born April 11, 1997 and Jefferson Salvini Randall born June 15, 1998.

He was a great talent that will be greatly missed.
