I know I am getting old, I used to make fun of my grandma for reading the obits every day. She used to say she did it just to make sure she wasn't in there. Now I read the RIP thread just to make sure I am not here ... LOL

He died of non-Hodgkins lymphoma - age 66.

Thank you all for your thoughts. I had been expecting it for the last couple of weeks. My parents took him in for a doctor visit in the middle of May. Doc said he needed surgery to drain his bladder or kidneys (don't remember which) because he had 3 gallons of urine backed up. He never made it back home. He only had 2 months to go to see his great granddaughter.

Sorry for your loss Michael, your DD will know Great Grandpa through you and your family telling her of him and looking at his pictures.
