Is there any info on when this thing is gonna be opening?

No nothing official...frankly I'm kinda over it now. It's been delay after delay and still no announcement...even a guess as to when the HR3 will open. I just don't care anymore.

well, it sounds like an ideal thing but i don't know how the TM's will be able to determine who stays in the park and who doesn't after the ride is over.

like Metro posted, during HHN, the ride (at some year) will be going on.

don't know how universal will handle those riders that come in the separate line from city walk just to ride the ride and then usher them back out to city walk. same thing for other times in the park.

Yes, this was my first post (long time lurker). And, sorry for posting what would be construed as a rumor. I was only repeating what was told to me by a worker in the park.

it is never an issue to post on what you heard.

years ago i used to post on things that TM's in the park or hotel would tell me.

i tend to feel that rumors sometimes pan out and other times it doesn't.

i have found out over the years there are always an employee that wants to give out info, true or not.

quite being a lurker, jump in on other threads if you have the time.
we all learn more things from people that go to the parks.

Gee that's really quite heartbreaking coming from a local.

Some of us with a short window to ride it are still a bit hopeful.

I am envisioning CW partiers drinking alcohol and then hopping on the coaster, stirring up the contents of their stomach! I don't think the catch-all safety nets will protect people from that sort of flying object!

I have given up on this thing being ready by our Labor Day visit. If it's there, it's there, if not, oh well. We'll just have to wait til next time.

I'm sorry to jump in; I have been lurking here as well. DS14 and I were at US July 6-12 and we entered and exited through the exit by BMG several times. There was only a TM there who would scan your ticket and do you fingerprint thing. Would that be the exit they would use for night rides? They would surely need to do some more security, because the TM kept having to chase people down.

Park employees should be testing next week (unlike the actual crew members and engineers that have been seen on it), according to the Sentinel, so a soft opening should begin after a day or two of that.

The only dreadful news is that the ride is slated to open with just two of the cars running. These are tiny, 12 passenger cars. Wait times will likely be in the HOURS with that kind of capacity. I expect capacity to scale quickly, but this is NOT going to be a ride that you want to hit in the late afternoon UNLESS you're staying on-site.

I suppose we should be happy it's opening soon, but only TWO cars?? I might be giving it a miss after all.

Here is what DH was told by a team member last night. Take it for what it's worth:

-There is still cosmetic work to be done.
-The onboard music system is not syncing up properly.
-It was purposely "valleyed" to see what that would take; it has not valleyed on its own.
-Official ownership has not yet been turned over to Universal, so thus far only people from the construction company have ridden it. They are bored to tears with it, while the team members are dying to ride it.
