Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is the new coaster at the Universal Studios park.Construction is not yet complete so I wouldn't get my hopes up and expect it to be open by May 17th.It usually takes a good month or more at least after construction is complete for testing and any remaining landscaping of the area.

Universal's web site does not give a date, but indicates the Spring. There are some threads on Universal forums concerning HR3 including some recent in-progress construction photos. Most on the Universal forums think it will be late spring, maybe even the summer.

Spring is agressive at this point...the ride is going in just past and behind Jimmy Neutron...I was there on Monday and it looks like they have significant work to do on the track. MidMay does not seem likely Sorry. I did like the Mummy...it was my first time at the Univeral parks in Orlando.
