I was saddened to hear the news too. I'm glad Wayne was able to be with her along with the family.

Sad news indeed a loss for the family is always hard and now it will get national covereage because of the family she belonged to which is just going to mae it that much more difficult for the family to move past. Hopefully Gretz will join Team Canada for the Olympics.

I send my sympathy to the family as this is really a sad time for them especially so near Christmas. They are such a very close family.

I know that the whole city of Brantford respects the family's privacy and hopefully so will the press.

I was very fortunate to have met Mrs Gretzky on a number of occassions...she was a very gracious lady. She will be missed by many. They reported on the local news that the visitation is open to the public to pay their respects and that there are books of condolences at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre and Brantford City Hall.

The whole family is nice. Both of our DDS goes to school with some of the grandchildren.

I met the gretzky family through some of my neighbours when I was younger. They were originally from Brantford and their cousins lived just down teh street from the Gretzy family so I met them a few times when we went to visit thier cousins in the summer. They were all great people from what I remember of them.
