RIP Canon Powershot SD300 Digital Elph

From what I understand---this lens has focus problems with Nikon as well. I will definitely buy it by this summer---well in advance of our December trip because of exactly the reasons stated, I would hate to buy it a month ahead of time and find out that there are problems that Sigma needs to fix and therefore can't bring it on vacation. That would majorly stink. :scared1:

I put off buying this lens for a long time because I had read so many people had isses w/ focusing. My copy was fine. Maybe I was lucky, maybe I worried for nothing. And maybe a lot of the diehard Nikon fans who hate 3rd party lenses just are trashing it online. There are some people who swear that nothing but Nikon is good enough to sit on a Nikon camera, however, not everyone can afford the high end Nikon glass. Who knows? This lens and my sigma 50mm 2.8 has much better bokeh (imo opinion of course) than any of my mid-priced or entry level Nikon lenses. That surprised me. I love this lens!(Can you tell?) I use it alot. It's awesome in low light and the field of view (I hope that's what it's called  ) is so much better than the 50mm which becomes 75mm on DX cameras. (I know you know that Anne, just putting itout there n case someone who doesn't reads this....)
