ringside dining now in session -updated July 26/14

Our cast of characters would be myself , disney loving mom Stitchaholic aptly named after one of my faves , DD who is 15 a social networking addict and upset that we are not going to Australia instead of Disney , and my DS13 who is very excited to get back to the world . Last time I was there was an adults only trip , where I took part in the "LIVE THREAD" put together tirelessly by Jabead , on that trip I got engaged , alas , it was not meant to be after all and I broke the engagement , this trip will be just us 3

We will be starting this adventure on July13th , 2014 at the Beach Club Villa's oh yeah , I am very excited about that , and moving over to the dark side on July 19th, 2014 for a stay at RPH
Why ring side dining you may ask , sighhhhh , 2 teen siblings , hopefully that explains it all
This is us on one of our first trips , so cute , the kids have grown and I have shrunk

ok , so these are fairly recent pics of us , and I am sorry for not posting my face , but I just love that pic !

We will be flying in from Montreal , Quebec and arriving at MCO at 11:45am , picking up a rental car and heading to the BCV
I imagine we will be hungry and sick of traveling by then , I made a late ressie for 1:50pm at Beaches n Cream , last time we ate there , I think we were full for 24hours after we ate ,lol , it was a meal of burgers and shakes and too filling , this time I am interested in the racheal or the turkey sandwich and a good old fashioned chocolate malt !
hopefully our room will be ready so we can laze about by the pool , then head over to MK for the wishes desert party and magic hours

Enjoy the dessert party. It looks so good. I just couldn't talk my husband into it. Well, considering I just talked him into one more day at the World, he wouldn't agree to something else. LOL. So I will have to live vicariously through you.

We arrived in Orlando at 11:30 , got our rental and headed out of the airport , we headed right over to BCV to check in , our room was ready , so we hauled up our luggage , took a look t the room , then decided to head out to Publix to get some water and drinks for the room . We were beyond hungry at this point , Beaches & Cream had no walk up available , so we headed out , chick-a-filA was closed , my daughter begged us to go to Golden Corral , we don't have this in Canada , reluctently , I said ok..., really bad idea , we all left feeling not great , but had fast passes at MK followed by the dessert party .
We hit up Space Mountain , The mine Train and then my son turned green and told me Golden Corral was hitting hard , sadly , I went to guest services who kindly refunded me for the Desert Party.
We did try out a few small snacks to try between us , one of these things became a favourite

the foam was not interesting , it was a weird contrast to the apple slush , which oddly enough , I actually liked , wasn't too bad , and was refreshing on this crazy hot day

this was so good , we loved the contrast of the orange slush with the vanilla soft serve , we ended up fighting over this one ! As a matter of fact , i think a visit to MK is in order this am before the thunderstorms hit

We came back to BCV and had a rest , and decided to hit the pool , what a great pool !
I was getting a bit hungry , so I walked over to the Boardwalk to get a sandwich ,I got the Fresh Mozzarella with oven dried tomatoes , Arugala and herb aioli on Focaccia .
It was fresh and really delicious , even more than I expected , the focaccia was fresh , the oven dried tomato added some sweetness and the arugala some bite

This morning we woke up late and headed downstairs to Cape May , a favorite of ours , the buffet was missing the baked french toast I love , but seemed to have all the rest of the usual fare

Asparagus with hollondaise , roasted potatoes ( these were really good ), cheese grits , stewed tomatoes , mushroom frittata , a biscuit that was later filled with smoked salmon and cream cheese , and fruit ( fresh and delicious)

It was not my first choice to come here , but my daughter became obsessed with a meteor cup I had brought back on my last trip and had to have one , so off we went for a late galactic lunch



fried pickles with a spicy ranch , these were really good



Buffalo popcorn chicken , these were not so good , really salty , too salty to eat

also , to go along with it , I had an oreo shake , this was the best part of the meal

On the way out of DHS , we stopped at Sweet Spells and picked up some snacks , as well as a little something at the Market place



A carrot cake cookie , OMG this was so soft and really good , a mickey orange macaroon ( meh , not so fresh) and some chocolate fudge that my son loved , i did not get to try this , he does not share fudge , lol



This cheese plate hit the spot after the not being able to eat that buffalo salt chicken , the grapes were fresh and popped in my mouth , the crakers stayed crunchy , not sure how after being in there with grapes and cheese , and the cheese cubes were cheddar , marble and jalapeno

One of my favourite breakfasts on property , also my favourite resort , the BC is awesome for SB and proximity to Epcot ,Boardwalk & DHS , but AKV is so peacefu



my first plate was goat cheese eggs with spinach , sausage , ham, grilled tomato , chakalaka and spicy mustard . I love the carved ham here , and I cannot get enough of the chakalaka , i also love saying chakalaka , lol



2nd plate was baked french toast ( it moved here from Cape May ) and pecan caramel sauce , some crunchy tater tots and a scone that was nor really worth eating , I also had a bowl of fresh fruit
We left here very satisfied for our day at AK

Still full from our breakfast , sadly we had no room for snacks , but were very thirsty from the heat



frozen Lemonade , frozen strawberry ( this ia way better than i would have imagined , tasted as if there were fresh strawberries in the mix) and a green apple iced tea

I also had the Carnival Cocktail , odwalla lemonade with blue razberry rum and cotton candy , although it tasted mostly of lemonade to me , very pretty colour though

For dinner we headed over to the Polynesian , my daughter & I wanted sushi , so we checked in for our ADR at Kona Cafe

Kona Crab Caked with lime sauce , this was very good , not a lot of filler



my daughter's pick , the California roll , I did not like this roll , I didn't enjoy the pineapple inside



and the Lava Roll , I loved this roll , the spicy fire sauce in the middle with the little scallops brought this roll over the top



my son had chicken nuggets

This was brought to us by accident , so he gave it to us , apple tart with cinnamon gelato and candied bacon brittle , the brittle was the best part , the apples in the tart were too firm for the texture of a pie , and the gelato was overpowering



banana creme brûlée , i loved this desert!


and chocolate fondue , this was yummy , i loved the macadamia tuple cookies
