Righty or Lefty?

I'm a righty but I use my left hand for holding things and such.

I'm really weird, i'm left handed at everything (espically holding flutes and guitars...it just doesnt go over very well xD) but when it comes to cutting things...with scissors...i have to hold the scissors with my right hand, and STEER with my left.

I dont actuually bend the scissors to make them cut in certain angles i use my left hand to move the object around that i'm cutting...

Sometimes i wanna move to england, because i want to sit on the right side of the car, and have my left-hand side of my body free.

I'm actully not sure what hand I write with.
Somedays I write with my left, somedays I write with my right.
But as of the moment, (just tested) I'm a righty.

I write with my right hand, but I prefer to throw frisbees and bowl lefty. It's kind weird.

I seriously hate whenever someone says "both".

Honestly no.
You have a preferred hand. Whatever that is, thats the hand you write with; your dominate hand.
You may be able to pick up a pencil and right your name neatly with the other hand, but that is NOT being ambidextrous. Most times you right with your right hand (or your left) but if you NEEDED to you COULD write with your other hand.

It really does get on my nerves when rightys say "Ohh, i'm ambidextrous so i'm a lefty too "

It doesn't really work that way.




ALSO, i quote from David Wolmans book "A left-hand turn around the world" he says

"Mixed-handed people, by the way, are not ambidextrous. Mix-handed means exactly what it implies, preferring one hand for some everyday tasks and the other hand for others. In common usage, "ambidextrous" has become a frequrent substitute for mixed-handed, though the strict definition is equal dexterity with either hand for all tasks, a condition that is quite rare, perhaps one or two people in 1,000."

Seriously, i didnt know anything about being a lefty until i read his book..what a masterpiece.

Anywho..so yes.

Thats why it bothers me when people say "I'm ambidextrous"

Oh, and I'm a lefty. (< whats funny is, that smiley seems to be lefty too)

If we're talking about being right or left handed for things like eating, using scissors, etc. then I use both hands but usually left. So, in that context, it's both. If it's just writing then I'm right-handed.

I can't write with my left hand tho. Unless you want my handwriting to look like that of a kindergartner.

My brother is a lefty, but kinda of mixed. He writes and stuff with his left hand, but always played baseball with his right.

Honestly, I'm pure righty, horrible at anything involving my left hand except drying my hair.

I know there are statistics that show, but I don't believe your more likely to suceed if your left handed. Even if science proves it

Going along with the Obama/music artist stuff, I've noticed that both of my honors teachers are lefties and quite a few kids in the classes are too... weird!
