I'm a righty, and my son appears to be ambidextrous. My dh was the same way when he was younger until his mom made him favor his right hand.

hmm - lots more righties (of course) but many more of we lefties actually left posts!

Wonder what conclusions we can draw from that?

Probably that the right-handed folks don't really have to think about which hand they use because things like punch bowl ladles always work for them.

Actually I'm oddly proud of being left handed.....

I'm a Kdg. teacher and have to teach lefties how to print! So, I can do both. I can cut paper both left & right handed ... as well as many other things. I prefer to write w/my right hand, though!

I am a lefty. However, I have to use my right hand for the mouse (PC), cutting, pouring, and other daily functions. Its weird-but I do enjoy being that small percentage of lefties.

Ambi - Just like my mom. It came in handy in college when I broke my right shoulder and wrist and still had to take notes. I found out that I can also write mirror image cursive when I write left-handed. I did that while my right arm was out of commission before I realized that I would need a mirror to read my notes. Duh.

Right handed. If I write with my left hand, it looks like a 3 year old's writing.

I'm ambitextrous. I do write with my right hand, but can print with either as long as I take my time. My writing is awful with either hand if I write fast, anyhow.

Depending on what I'm doing, I might use my left hand more than my right or simply use whichever hand is closest to the task. Way back when I was physically able to play tennis, I would switch hands rather than use a backhand and have the same strength and control with either. The same went for batting, etc..

The one thing that my wife has observed is that I eat with my left hand, but switch to my right hand for dessert. I have absolutley no idea why, but it's pretty consistent.

Some years ago I had my right arm in a sling for a few weeks and found there were only a few things that were awkward with just my left hand, but it's surprising how many things we do with both hands, like washing your face.

I'm a lefty in all things. I love being left-handed,we are so much more creative and artistic. We have to get something good out of this right-handed world. :)

My husband is a lefty. My children are using both hands still at this time, they are babies, so it's too soon to tell.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous :rotfl2:

Actually I'm left handed so is my DH, but both kids are right handed! :)

I write with my right hand but my left hand is the dominant one. I do everything with my left hand ;)

Lefty here too! So is DH and DD--will just have to wait and see if DS is too!

I am a righty, DH is a righty...2 of our 3 kids are lefties.
