We are going in November and want to ride the monorail in the evening, just for something fun to do. We will be staying at WL and only going to the MK, so we'll be taking the boat for that. My real question is, what will we be able to see? If the parks close early will the monorail still be running at night? Will we have to take our car to the contemporary to catch it, or will the boat still be running between the CR and WL?

The resort monorail should run until late at night to accomodate people using the restaurants, it will skip the MK station after closing (probably starting an hour after closing). Don't know about the boat - it will probably stop running an hour after MK closing. There should be a bus from the TTC to the WL after the boat stops running.

I know there are three different monorial routes. From the contemporary, how do we make the distiction between them?

There are three different monorail routes from the TT&C, one is direct to Epcot, one is an express to the MK only, and the last one is the resort monorail which makes all the stops. There are plenty of signs to tell you which is which. We usually ride the resort monorail, stopping at each resort to check it out.

Be sure to ask a CM if you can ride in the front car with the driver. It's a wonderful view. They allow 4 people at a time to ride with the driver. Then when you get off they give a little co-pilot card. Very cute for scrapbooks!!! My kids loved riding in the front car.
