Rides you might get wet?

What all rides can you get wet? Splash Mountain, Grizzly River Run for sure...but any others? We're staying at Grand Californian, so I'm planning on being able to head back to the room after we ride these if we get wet. Trying to plan it so we can either do these last or as we head in for an afternoon break.

It occurred to me yesterday at the end of my Matterhorn ride that I've only really gotten wet on that ride once (out of probably 60 rides). Can it happen? Sure. But it's uncommon.

Someone I know said she won't ride Pirates anymore because she always gets soaked on it. I've ridden it at least 100 times and have never gotten wet, per se. Maybe a few drops but I definitely wouldn't say it's a ride to worry about if you want to avoid soakage.

Pirates might give you a little splash, but it's generally just a few drops if anything. I wouldn't really consider it a "wet ride."

It's not a ride, but if you watch the Pixar Play Parade, they do spray water at the crowd. It's pretty mild too, but if you're up front you may get a little bit wet.

I've ridden Pirates at both WDW and DL and have never considered it a ride where you might get wet. I'm thinking "soaked to the bone" where I don't want to walk around in squishy shoes the rest of the day. We have a washer/dryer in our room, but I'm thinking we might just throw on flip flops for these rides (Splash, GRR). I'm more concerned about ALL of my clothing getting wet and needing to change clothes. I spritz here and there is no biggie.

I tend to avoid these rides because I don't want to walk around in wet clothing/shoes all day. With the luxury of the GC, we have no problems riding and changing clothes if we need to.

The last 5 or 6 times that our family has ridden Matterhorn (it was in the fall of 2017), we got pretty wet. Not sure what has changed but something definitely has! It wasn’t soaked to the bone wet but we were wet enough to be I comfortable in the humid heat... Cleary it didn’t stop us from riding it again but I’d expect to at least get a little wet.

I have gotten pretty damp on Pirates. Not every time (but, then, I don't get wet every time on Splash or GRR, either), but enough that I'm definitely prepared for it. And a good friend who was sitting next to me on it got hit with a big splash that went wrong on it and wound up soaked from the waist down. I was perfectly dry on that one.

I have gotten soaked on Matterhorn once, but typically that ride just involves a few drops. Same for pirates - the one time I've gotten uncomfortably wet on Pirates was when I sat down without looking first, and there was a huge pool of water on the seat. Now I always check. I don't plan for either of those to be wet rides, but they potentially can be.

I've gotten pretty close to "soaked" on the Pirates, but that was due to a fluke more than anything. In the scene where the ship is launching canon balls towards the fort, one of the up spouts went off and the water came down into the boat. It was wet enough that I was wringing water out of my shirt when I got to the bathroom afterwards. It's only happened once, but now I'm always paranoid during that sequence! On the drop, I've gotten anywhere from nothing to misted to more than damp, but not quite wringing wet...most of the time, it'll dry before the ride is over, but there have been a few times when there were still water blotches on my shirt/pants when I got off the ride. Like the PP mentioned, be sure to check the seat before you sit down.

There is the possibility to get wet on Matterhorn and Big Thunder. Both have a water splash at the end, but I've almost never gotten more than a few drops if any at all. There are a few points where the Matterhorn track goes by the waterfall and it's possible to get misted (depending on which way the wind is blowing) and Big Thunder has a water fall at the end of the first big climb (I've never gotten "wet", but it's possible to get dripped on).

As a PP mentioned, the Pixar Play Parade has a water element and some areas will get wetter than others. It's kind of random (I think), but if you're in the front row (or two), be prepared to be squirted. I don't think most folks will get soaked (i.e., wringing wet), but if you're in the wrong spot, you can get pretty wet. The girl two down from us got one of the squirts full on and she was close to Splash level wetness (at least in terms of number of water blotches on her clothes).

I always get wet on Splash. I have learned to wear flip flops and prop my feet up on the bar under the sides. That at least saves my feet. Often I have been forced to sit on a very wet seat when boarding the ride. I never get wet on Pirates except for a few drops.

Last night I got soaked on Splash. I don't mean my feet or even my pants from the side splashing that normally happens. It was top to bottom, all the way through wet. My hair was soaked and I had just washed it before going into the park that night. I was wringing out my dress - had bike shorts under it and they got wet all the way through as well.

Had never had this happen before, gotten wet yes, but nothing like this. Two huge waves got us, DD and DH got soaked as well. DD tried to hide behind me but that 2nd wave was surf worthy.

I got soaked on grizzly river run the other day. Me and another rider got hit by the geyser at the very end. Luckily I had on keens and quick drying shorts on so I dried pretty fast.

Hoping to ride Splash tomorrow.
