Hello...

We'll be at the world in AUgust with ds4 and dd6weeks. I know you can switch off but how exactly does it work? If I go on a ride with ds while dh holds dd, then can dh go on the ride after and if so, how do I do that? And can ds4 go again with dh?

I have baby brain so bear with me. I have read the books about this but for some reason I can't wrap my head around it.

Can anyone give me an example of how it would work?

Thanks in advance. :wave2:

Congrats first and for most... I totally understand the "baby brain" as mine just turned 2 months old...

Anyway, when you get to the attraction talk to the greeter out front. Some of the rides will let you all wait in line together and then have you stand to the side with the infant while the rest of the party rides. Others will give you a rider switch pass which will be used like a fast pass. The first part of your group will wait in the regular line and ride. Once they come out they will find you and you can take the pass and go through the fastpass que to ride. When you do a child swap you can bring up to 3 people with you the on the "swap" so yes, your other child can ride twice.

Kickin'! :cheer2:

Thanks for explaining it to me. And for the well wishes! I swear my brain is mush and I used to be relatively intelligent.

I think I get it now. Ds will be thrilled to get to ride twice on rides. I guess it'll make up somewhat for having to have a baby around to take up all mom's time. :) This is helpful b/c it will make our time at the parks so much easier than if I always have to miss the ride or dh always has to miss the ride. I don't mind missing some but it would be nice to have a *bit* of a vacation myself, as much as is possible with a 6 week old! ;)

Thanks again.

You can take the baby on everything that doesn't have a height restriction. Use child swap for things that does. I'd recommend getting a baby sling. Easy way to carry a 6 week(or any age) baby around, and it would keep your baby away from some of the germs. :thumbsup2 We went for the day when DS was 8 weeks. It was great, I loved my sling and so did he. They're also GREAT if you plan to BF. :goodvibes

Thanks for that info. I wasn't sure if I could take baby on any rides at all. I'm hoping to have a solarveil sling when we go. So things like Small world and such, I could just take her on? That's good to know. Hopefully she'll be nursing well by 6 weeks (fingers crossed!!) and we'll be able to nurse in the sling as well.

Sounds like between switching off and using the sling we'll be in good shape. :)
