Im going alone with a 4 year old, who is approx 105cm to 110cm.

Is there anything you advise not to go on with him?

Crush coaster - says for over 7's is this a requirement or advise?

Is the height guide at the start or each ride, so I dont wait 40 mins or so to be turned away!

Recently been to a UK theme park and 2 rides had a height of 110cm. 1 ride he was able to go on, the other he wasnt - yet he was measured at the start of each ride.

We are just back. My DS is 4 as well. I wouldnt take him on crush, it is quite a wild ride. Joe enjoyed thunder mountain fir the first time this trip, he also likes star tours (both have the same height restriction). Tower of terror is the same restriction but he didn't want to go on that.

I think the real thrill rides space mountain, Indiana jones, rock and roller coaster have a height restriction more than your DS height. There is a section on the Disney website I think.

Have fun.

Thank you, that's what thinking, although he is big enough for crush, wondered what people thought!

Is there anything that's scary that he won't like, I see a lot of advice says may scary small children! Wonder how small etc

My son was 4 on our first visit and he was fine on Phantom Manor, Big Thunder Mountain, Star Tours, but was petrified on Armageddon, he did get scared on Snow White too although he'd never admit to it now ;)
I wouldn't take a 4 year old on Crush's Coaster.
Offhand I seem to remember that Indianna Jones has the highest restriction 140cm with Space Mountain and RnR next at 120cm.
There is always a CM at both the normal and fast pass entrances to rides (before the queue starts) with a height measuring stick.:)

the Snow White ride completely freaked my DD out :scared1: - she is now 10 and still won't go anywhere near it!

Oh I forgot about Armageddon, DH has been on that and he says that our son would hate it, too noisy and dark. As I said before I wouldn't take Joe on crush and tower of terror.

Depends how adventurous your DS is. Phantom manor is a bit scary but DS really likes it as is thunder mountain but that is his new favourite ride. We went to the cars stunt show for the first time this trip, I had never been sure as it's loud with gunshots, explosions etc but he loved that as well. He also loves star tours

Think it's a great age as they still enjoy the more childish things but also some of the more adventurous stuff. Thunder mountain one minute and small world the next, love it......

I don't think Phantom Manor is as scary as Snow White or Pinnochio!:rotfl: the first time we went younger DS was 3 1/2 and was terrified of both of them. But then he was scared of Peter Pan and Pirates as well - doesn't like dark rides! (IASW was OK). Now he'll go on all of them, and most coasters as long as they don't have loops or corkscrews.:thumbsup2 DH went on Crush with DS(then 15) and both said they wouldn't go on again.

My 2 are actually big thrill seekers. We first went over 18 months ago (just booked again for next march!:goodvibes) and my ds was 4 (his birthday treat) and my dd was 2. they were too short for certain rides but loved phantom manor, armageddon and pirates and pinocchio! My ds was actually asleep when i was taking dd on snow white and he had a bit of a fear of witches at that time so just took the 2 year old on who was fine lol!

They both love rollercoasters so i ma hoping there will be afew more rides they can go on this time (4 and 6 and appros 1m and 1.1m)

can anyone tell me why the advisory age for crush is 7?? Is it very fast as in the may hurt their heads? That happened to me on space mountain lol!

My DS was 5 and 114cm as we went, but BTM scared him and he freaked out. Phantom manor was too scary - we asked staff to show us an extra exit. We didn't go for Cruch coaster - too much thrill ride. As we went for Star wars ride staff did check his height :D

When i took dd (4 years old) in July she was tall enough for BTM, TOT etc she too is a big thrill seeker. I first was in the queue for crush at 9.30am and my mum was stood on the other side of the rope with dd, and a cm said does she not want to ride, he measured her and said she was fine but i decided against it as you can't hold on to them and i would probably have had kittens all the way round.:rotfl:
apart from the big rollercoasters ie RnRc and IJ and SM she is fine on everything else.
as other posters have said it really does depend on the child and what you feel comfortable for them to go on.
