Can y'all think of any rides that would be difficult for me to ride while holding DS18m on my lap? I'm bringing a Hip Hammock, so I can actually keep him contained due to my irrational fear of him leaping out of my arms in the middle of It's a Small World! I guess I'm mainly concerned with rides that have bars that come down and just thought I'd see what I could find out beforehand.

Thanks!

M :)

subbing...I would like to know this as well...DS will be 11 months for our trip.

...glad to know I'm not the only one with that small world fear...although I worry about Peter Pan more...:lmao:

Alright, I double posted somehow, and I can't figure out how to delete, but I thought I'd make it less annoying by editing it! Are you allowed to use a sling on rides? I definately plan on bringing one, but not sure if they'll make me take him out of it before getting on...

Peter Pan is the only ride that came to my mind from when my daughter was 15months. I remember feeling a little uncomfortable when taking off in Peter Pan. You are not the only one who feels this way, I dressed my daughter in a lot of overall type outfits that I could put my hand through the strap to have a better grip on her during that trip.

Oh no! I didn't even consider that they might not let me keep him in a sling! And yes - Peter Pan is another one of my fears. Where could I find out about the sling issue?

We took DD when she was 18 months. We never had any problems and she is a wiggle worm! She sat in between Dh and I on most larger rides cars like PP, IaSW, SWSA, PotC, HM, etc. I kept my hand on top of her leg just in case but really never had a problem. Even on just 2 seaters like Dumbo & MCoA, kept the hand on her leg just to make sure she didn't stand up. If she did want "Up" to see things better, I held her on my leg and just kept my arms around her. HTH! :)

I went to DisneyLand when my son was 11 months and I was able to keep him in the sling. My friend was slinging her daughter too and we had no problems.

We've never had a problem with Juliette trying to get out.

Usually they are too into the rides to even notice.

This last time, on the Haunted Mansion, she did scramble into my lap. She's two, but we've been taking her since she was 5 months old.

My DS had just turned 2 on our last trip. He is never still. But he was so enchanted and mesmerized on the rides that we didn't have any problems with him at all.

My thinking is that she will love it so much and be entralled with it all and sit pretty still.
