Rides that are at both WDW and DL

I also feel the need to mention Toontown. No one ever mentions it, but I love toontown in DL. I know it is gone in the WDW now, but there was never a comparison.

Though not a ride, Fantasmic is far superior at DL and worth the wait to get a good spot! As far as rides go, Space Mountain and PoC are the 2 that I would say are significantly better at DL and not to be missed.

Another one that nobody mentioned is the Disneyland Railroad. While, not a favorite attraction, it is better because of the Grand Canyon Diorama and Primeval World scenes that it goes through. It is also faster and serves as a better means of transportation around the park than the WDW Railroad.

I have to concur with most of the statements here. Buzz is way way better at DL. Splash is much shorter, pirates is better. We liked space mountain and big thunder equally at the two parks...though they are our two favorites. TOT has a different drop pattern, neither better but for sure different.

I am shocked that nobody has mentioned the most critical difference! DL allows, nay encourages, you to eat your dole whip inside during the show. It is a must do experience.

It was like splash mountain on speed. You go through everything so quickly it's hard to enjoy. The ride is much longer in wdw. I honestly got off and was angry as that is one of my favorite rides as well.

I honestly didn't notice that, in fact I was pleased they had a scene I didn't remember in the WDW version (with the lady critters singing about poor Brer Rabbit). However it could be because I haven't seen the WDW version in years. Anyway I'm sorry you were so disappoined!

Why skip any attractions? Are you only going to be there like two days or something?

I say don't skip.
Even though attractions may have the same name they all have their differences.

My experience regarding Splash Mountain. Splash Mountain moves faster that is why it seems shorter than WDW, but it feels more thrilling. For example, the last drop seems higher and steeper. Overall Tokyo has the beat Splash Mountain.

And most people disagree with me, but I like DCA's Tower of Terror better.

Out of all the comments made so far this is what I disagree with the most. I think WDW wins this hands down. Two reasons. The 5th dimension room with the movement of the elevator and then the random drops. DCA is missing these two awesome elements. To me it's almost like comparing the two Fantasmics. The WDW is a huge stick bomb compared to the DL one. As a matter of fact I will now only go on our TOT (DCA) if I am there with people who don't come much. Also I prefer the track layout of Space Mountain at WDW way better than DL, but the smoothness and the onboard audio make the to a wash for me. POC, no question. DL wins. BTMR, WDW is the winner. Haunted Mansion is a tie for me. Jungle cruise also a tie, but I do love that temple you sail through at WDW. Buzz I like the guns better at DL, but love that there are so many more targets to hit at WDW. Sorarin is the same except the line. So those are my opinions.

You shouldn't skip any rides. Period. Why would you want to?

Here is my breakdown:
Better at DL:
Space Mtn
IASM
Pirates
All of Fantasyland
Grizzly River Run
Buzz Lightyear - removable guns and extra room on the ride
Tiki Room - the original that Walt built!
All parades
All fireworks
Fantasmic!
Mainstreet

Better at WDW:
Splash Mtn - my favorite ride of all time. Just works better slower so you can enjoy the animatronics
Big Thunder
Winnie the Pooh
Tower of Terror
Food
More quality choices for hotels

I am just afraid we will have to. We will only be in the parks for two days. Also, I am worried about crowds. It sounds like DL will be more crowded than what I am used to at WDW, so I guess I just thought we should have a list of priorities.

Inotice no one has mentioned Jungle Cruise. Great at Land and World, better at World.

You can get alot done in two days if your prepared to "go commando". :)
Do you have park hoppers? I would strongly suggest it. Will you be staying onsite? Just wondering if you have access to early magic mornings. They are amazing as you can knock out like many rides. We usually knock out all of fantasyland 9+ rides before the rope drops for everyone else. Then we head towards Pirates, HM, and get fast passes for splash. Then we work our way backwards through Adventureland.

Staying on property and we will have park hoppers! :cheer2:
