Rides of avoid when pregnant?

Hello all,
My SIL is pregnant but we want to plan a trip to DL. I know the obvious rides she can't go on including Indy, Space Mountain and Big Thunder. Is POTC one of those? Thanks!

The general rule is that any ride with a height restriction is off-limits to pregnant women. If you go to Disneyland.com under "Explore", then "Attractions" for each park, every ride's description lets you know if it is not recommended for pregnant women. There is no warning on the website about Pirates.

Tell her to stay far far away from Star Tours! That ride made me sick.

It depends on how long your SiL is pregnant.

I was 7,5 week pregnant when I first went to WDW. And my doctor told me that as long as the restrains don't press my belly, it will be ok.
So in the first 1,5 week at WDW I did all rides, and then I felt that my uterus got a bit higher, i mean I could feel it. So I stopped doing all the rides with contraints around my hips.

Can I just suggest that you encourage your SIL not to push it or see what she can "get away" with as far as riding rides? If there's any question about the ride (height restriction or not), imo, it's better not to ride. Why risk the health of the baby for a few minutes of fun? I'm just sensitive to this subject because I feel that people (including myself) take the health of their children for granted and think their children will be perfectly healthy and "normal". Our DS was born with many medical issues and I can't even begin to describe how hard it is and time consuming and exhausting and stressful (you get the idea). DS's problems have nothing to do with me riding on rides while pregnant (because i didn't) but I just don't think it's worth the risk and any little thing that can be done to help keep the baby safe is worth doing, imo. Sorry for the mini-lecture but like I said, I'm a little sensitive to this subject.
