ok now i am trying to plan out what ride me and my lo 22 months then can go on. as i have said before i am such a scaredy cat. also i have heard conflicting reviews about some rides for my lil girl so since we dont have a rides sticky i thought i would just ask your opinion on a few

btm (for me). ok so i know it doesnt have loops but does it go very fast, up very high. what has been your experience?

potc (for ash). how big are the drops? is is very scary or just dark

dumbo. (for ash) can you just stay down low and then its ok or does this go very fast

orbitron (for ash) am i right in thinking she sits in front of me. stay down low? how fast?

tea cups (for both) if you dont spin the disc then is it a relaxing ride or still vomit inducing. i dont think ash would like to be spun around very fast

if anyone has any warnings or tips about any rides i left out then feel free to add.

thank you

You can stay low on Dumbo, and it doesn't go fast. Flying Carpets in the Studios is the same sort of thing.
If you don't spin the teacups, thats fine too.
IASW is a must for wuss mums (I'm included in that category:flower3: ).

What else? Oooh Peter Pan - love that ride. Buzz is great fun too, but your DD might not like it - its noisy in there. The carousel - although there are horses, there are also carriages, so you could ride that quite safely together.

The Main St Vehicles are great - not a "ride" as such, but there are various ones, some horse-drawn, and they travel up and down Main St.

I haven't done BTM and POC yet - but I'm going to this trip (DD is not such a wuss anymore. I don't know if this is a good thing though - we went on a frog-hopper type ride at Gullivers Kingdom this week, and I was the one doing the screaming   ).

haha good to know im not the only one. nobody here can figure out where i got my fear *** i havent had a bad experience as a child. so i hoping to conquer it bit by bit. maybe lol. i showed ash buzz on you tube and i said look at the baba doing bang bang so she went around doing that for the day. she isnt to fussed by noise *** normally she is the one making it so i might try that one out

We took our dd in June a week after her second birthday and we took her on as much as we could. There are two drops in POTC, nothing really to write home about and my mum and aunt both did them who are really wuss's and my little one was fine, she was sat between hubby and I and I just kept talking to her all the way round and she seemed fascinated especially when we saw a little ***** cat and a donkey, etc, etc .. she did tighten her grip on my hand when we went down the drops but she didn't cry and she certainly didn't appear to be alarmed ... in fact when the ride ended she said 'again and go back' so I think she must have enjoyed it, we took her on several times ! Also took her on IASW, she wasn't that fussed to be honest ... she really liked it when she went on her first trip at 12 months but she just wasn't into it this time around. She loved Buzz, think it was the noise and the lights and she loved Dumbo which you don't have to take up and she also really loved the Magic Carpets in the Studios, we went quite high in those thanks to mummy and she loved it !! She also enjoyed the tea cups which we didn't spin as I don't do things that go round too fast, would have puked and hubby queued to take her on the cars ride but it looked a bit fast for my liking so I summoned him out of the queue and took her back on the magic carpets. She also enjoyed Peter Pan but just a word of warning to keep your little one tucked back in the seat, the ride can jerk a bit from time to time and if they are too far forward they could bash their little faces on the bar which keeps you in. There's also Snow White and Pinocchio too which are good for little ones and the carousel, take advantage of the one in the park ... our dd cried to stay on the mini one in the Village you have to pay for ! Our little one also had fun running round Alice's Maze :) I'm sure I've missed rides out but we pretty much took her on as much as we could.

Dont worry...i dont like scary rides such as flumes/fast rides ect...i used to be terified and have been known to even be sick!!.lol

How about going on something like Small world?...thats a ncie gentle ride

I would also recommend you take her to Anamagique in the Studios - it is a show. If Casey Junior & the storyboat ride are on when you are there, they should be OK too.

My daughter doesn't like pirates (she was 17 mths last time). My other daughter didn't enjoy pirates, Snow White, Pinocchio or the dragon until she was about 3. They are all quite dark, so I suppose it all depends on the child.

Have a great time

our daughter was scared of the dragon too ! and I forgot about the storyboat ride, she loved that :)

i just checked the website and both the storybook ride and the casey jr are closed the whole time im there really upset about that one

You'll just have to leave those for your next trip :goodvibes .
I've been to DLRP 4 times, and only on the most recent trip (June) did we see the Storyboats and Casey Jnr open at all.
