Rides for those with severe motion sickness at Universal?

Trying to decide if my mom would have anything to ride if we went to Universal. She mentioned my dad expressing interest in WWoHP, and I'm trying to do some research to see what attractions she might enjoy. What attractions (if any?) would be okay for someone with motion sickness?

Also, are there many shows and other entertainment options besides rides?

Thanks for any input!

Rides that should be fine:
All of Seuss Landing
Hogwarts Express train
Flight of the Hippogriff (kiddie coaster, fine for adults too)
Woody woodpecker coaster (same as above)
Minions (Ask for stationary seating. Ask before getting in line)
Dr Doom's Fearfall
Dudley Doright log flume
Jurassic Park river ride
Ironically, Kang and Kodos Twirl and Hurl (Dumbo style ride)

Rides that are also probably okay:
Popeye barges
Kong
Hulk
Rip Ride Rocket
Mummy

If she would like to go on rides except for the motion sickness worries, look into the trans-derm scop anti-nausea patch. It is worthwhile to be able to enjoy the day more freely. Especially if she is a Harry Potter (or Simpsons) fan, as those rides are really good.

Oh, and there are also a few shows:
The Horror Makeup show is funny and worthwhile.
There are various HP entertainments daily.
Ollivander's wand show. Brief but neat.
The Raptor encounter in Jurassic Park is cool, and fun to watch other families while awaiting your turn.
The JP Discovery Center is worth a walk through
The parade is short and mostly aimed at kids, but well done for what it is.
There are a few street preformances around.

Thank you so much! She's talked about looking into that patch before, so maybe we'll see about that as an option. We won't be going until 2020, and she's going to try a few rides at Disney in 2019 that are a little more than what she usually does (Soarin' and Mine Train). On top of motion sickness, she's about to turn 76 years old (will be 77 when we go to Universal), has a pacemaker, and has had surgery that has made it impossible for her to be able to throw up (she physically is unable). I'd hate to put her in a situation that makes her sick to her stomach and no way to ease that misery. She's already a frail little thing as it is, but bless her heart, she wants to go and do stuff! If worse comes to worse, I don't think she'll mind waiting for us to ride many of the attractions. I just want to know there is some stuff she can enjoy.

Thanks again for the tips!

I'm guessing that as you do research, you'll probably cross Dr Doom, Hulk, and RRR off her list then...
Haha...yeah, I think you're right. Thank you so much for the information though. Now I can start Youtubing the various rides and seeing what I think. It's weird to be so clueless. I know Disney like the back of my hand, but we've never been to Universal. Your suggestions give me a great place to start!

Since HP seems to be important, keep in mind that she can go through the lines of both Gringotts and Forbidden Journey without riding. The lines are attractions in themselves and are not to be missed. The castle tour takes you through the EP lane and you can take as much time as you want without holding up the regular lane and then you get escorted through a door to the end of the ride. I usually do the tours at least once a trip to take photos, watch everything, etc. I *think* Gringotts is a similar set-up although I have never done it.

Also, plan on getting interactive wands. They are a lot of fun to play with. And make sure to eat at one (or both) of the HP restaurants. And visit the conductor of the Knight Bus.

Missing from the earlier lists:
- Shrek show (ask for stationary seating)
- Blue Brothers street show
- ET
- Animal Actors show
- Poseidon's Fury (this is kind of a show)

My friend suffers from motion sickness (although she can do a few of the motion rides) and there is always plenty for us to do. Neither of us do the big roller coasters or Simpsons, but the only things she can't do are Men In Black and Forbidden Journey. Transformers and Spider Man are questionable for some people and I think she may have issues with Jimmy Fallon.

I am a ride freak and love motion....uh....until I reached my 60's! Now I find I get nauseous on the motion rides so....
the motion rides almost all have a stationary row you can sit in to enjy the show and the story without going through the motions. Shrek, Minions are the two that come to mind but there are probably more. Unfortunately rides like Spiderman and Harry Potter don't have this feature.

I’ve seen other posters mention Bonine. Has anyone tried this? Does it make you groggy?

I get slightly motion sickness and thought I might try it, just in case.
