My family and I are visiting Disney in July. My 10 month old son will be traveling with us. I was wondering what rides, if any, I could take him on. Please let me know what rides you have enjoyed with your little ones. Also, if we all wait in line together, can my husband ride first, take the baby when he returns, and then let me ride? I would appreciate any info you could give me. Thanks.

We're in the same predicament. Going in May with our 6 mo old and again in August when she's 9 mo old. It is our understanding that your infant will be able to ride any ride without a height restriction, ie. IASM, but on those that do have restrictions you can use a service called Baby Swap.

Baby Swap works differently at each attraction so be sure to ask the CM at the ride entrance/exit that you'd like to take advantage of Baby Swap and they'll let you know how to use it on that particular ride.

Have fun!

We are going in 11 days with our 9 month old. When I return, I'll let you know what she enjoys/tolerates. I've seen some things in the past from others who have taken babies, but don't see the posts now. Maybe one of them will give us some info again.

We took our 9 month old on every ride that did not have a height restriction. She loved all the rides and on some she even fell asleep. She loved all the sights and sounds. I hope you have a great time and do not be afraid to take him on all the rides. If there is a problem the CM's will tell you.

We took our 14-month old on every ride without a height restriction (or a long line). He loved all of them, including the HM, POC and Aladdin. The constant visual stimulation of all Disney rides will keep any infant or toddler mesmerized. He even cried when the Pooh ride was over.

When our DD was 11 months she went to WDW and had already done DL. It was so much easier then. We took her on everthing, and she didn't know to be scared! One of the best memories I have is Emily "dancing" to Small World (thank God for video). On the last trip she was 2.5. She wouldn't let us even walk by Haunted Mansion and to this day she says that Snow Whilte is "bad and scary" The only htinh that she didn't go on as a baby was Pirates, since I had a young cousin who was scared of the simulated canons. I just figured I wouldn't go there, so we did baby swap.

I have never had a problem doing baby swap on any attraction.

When DS was 11 months old we took him on most rides that had no restrictions. He loved Peter Pan's flight, Small World, all those kinds of things.

most of the rides in Fantasy Land would be great. living with the land in Epcot is very quite and gentel. And of course at the American pavillion. It seems most babies fall asleep in the dark, cool atmosphere.

Our 17 month old rode:

Peter Pan
Dumbo
Aladdin
Jungle Cruise
Winnie the Pooh
Buzz Lightyear
Spaceship Earth
Malestrom
Muppet 3D
Kilamanjaro Safari

Shows:
Tiki
Lion King
Ariel

Misc:
Boneyard

Basically, we took him on anything without a height requirement.

Last April ds was 15 months old and did everything that wasn't height restricted and LOVED IT! When we booked our trip last year, we were concerned about what ds could and couldn't ride. He did great! He just adjusted to our schedule and enjoyed the trip as much as we did. He is almost 2.5 years old and we are going back to WDW next week. He loves watching the video of April 2001 and we can't wait to get him on the rides and see the characters again! GOOD LUCK! HAVE FUN! Sandra

Hi Everyone- We just returned Thursday from a trip with our 9 month old dd. We went to AK, MK, and Epcot and took her on nearly everything without a height restriction. She did wonderfully on all of them. She especially enjoyed the rides in Fantasyland at MK. She fell asleep on Small World and Haunted Mansion (probably because it was cool and dark!). I was a little nervous about taking her on Dumbo (I was afraid she'd fall out!), but she really seemed to enjoy it. We also took her to dinner with Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger at 1900 Park Faire. I didn't think she'd care much for a character meal, but I think it was her favorite part of the trip. She couldn't keep her eyes off them. Have a great time!

We brought our 12 month old son last October. We took him on all rides without height restriction and he loved all of them especially pooh, peter pan, small world, buzz, playhouse disney (mgm). He loved the parades. We took it at his pace and it worked out for all of us.

In fact our son started to walk in the Magic Kingdom for real for the first time.

We took our 10 mo to Disneyland & he loved the Fantasyland rides & the character breakfast. Goofy was feeding our son his baby food with a spoon!
Just be prepared, if your baby can't stand or walk, you will be holding him in the lines. You can't take the stroller in line with you. It can be a bit tiring. So, work that into your plan.
You will have a wonderful time.

Took our 11 month old daughter in 1997 and our 1 year old son in 2001. We could take them on nearly everything without a height restriction. However, some of the rides are in the dark and some kids are a bit afraid of that. DS actually did better than our then 4 year old DD because she was old enough to know that some characters were villians and was afraid of them. DS was too young to care, he liked them all. The favorite rides were Small World, Dumbo, the train, Aladdin's Magic Carpet, Pooh and DS loved the tram that takes you to your car in the parking lot. Oh, MGM has Playhouse Disney now which is a big hit with preschoolers.:)

I forgot to add that the Hall of Presidents is a great place to get little ones to fall asleep. Its cool quiet and takes fairly long.
