rides for everyone?

Rides like the storyboat canal and casey train... are these things an adult without kids would want to ride?

I think most every ride adults without kids would enjoy. Even the Fantasy Land rides. Except maybe teacups, dumbo, rocket ride. All the others are cute and have neat things to look at that adults can appreciate.

If it were me, yes, I would ride just about everything, especially Storybookland and Tea Cups, the are 2 of my faves, Casey Jr., wold depend on how many days I had and how long the lines were, not at the top, but yes, I would ride with no kids.

Oh my goodness, I have ridden just about everything when I have gone with just my husband. Everybody is a kid at Disneyland, don't feel embarrassed, trust me, no one will look at you funny. Enjoy!

I would never squeeze myself into the little Casey Train if I didn't have kids, but I would do the Storybook boat.

I say you have to do them at least once. There are open air cars on Casey Jr. where you don't have to squeeze yourself inside a cage.

Storybook Canal boats are charming and every adult enjoys the details of the little buildings and plants that go into every vignette.

IMHO - any Disney ride is an adult ride, too! I just adore all of the Fantasyland rides, and I'm thrilled that my kids still love riding them, too - especially Casey Jr. & Dumbo!

When my wife and I was in Disney World last time, we did everything in MK that was running, except for the dumbo clones... and we wanted to do dumbo but gave up on the long lines. But reading the disneyland.com website, they listed some as "for little children" or something like that... I want to do Nemo and Snow While and Mr. Toad and teacups... but was questioning the others. Maybe the storybook canal would be cute, but how small is the casey jr train?

I'd even "suffer" through iasw, but in Mid November that will be closed.

51 y/o male here.

I LOVE....(love the imagination & detail) Alice, Toadie, PP, Pinochio, Snow White, Storybookland, & even Casey's, the teacups & IASW (but the Christmas version is great btw). These rides are all quintisential Disney...each one of them. To me, they are just as much on my "to do" list as POTC, Matterhorn & HM.

I normally pass on Dumbo, Astro Orbiter, the putt putt cars & the Carousel....but would ride them if my kid asked me to. (nothing against them....but they have a "been there done that" feel to me....& are usually crowded & slow loaders). Thankfully my 9 y/o kid prefers the attractions listed above now (& 20 - 30 others. )

PinkBudgie, by rocket ride do you mean Astro Orbiter? If so, if I liked the ride experience of things like that (round and round in circles and no issue with heights), I would RATHER go on AO without a kid. It is so hard to get in and out of those things with a smallish kid! Hubby can't do it at all without feeling like an elephant, so he refuses to ride it anymore with our son (so I have to, yuck, ), even though he otherwise really really loves the ride.


If you have questions about squeezing yourself into things, DEFINITELY sit in the bench "cars" on Casey's. They are the comfiest things! Well, aside from the hard bench thing. Wide, generous space, very comfy. And I adore Casey's! It goes much faster than you think they are going to go!


Since I don't like the round and round rides all that much, I personally wouldn't (and didn't) go on Dumbo and AO and Flik's Flyers on my solo trip (and I've never been on the Zephyr which just looks ghastly to me but DH and DS adored it), but if I did like those rides, I'd have gone on them alone.


The ONLY ride I would never go on alone, unless doing some sort of "rally" contest, would be the "bumper cars" in bug's land. Those are very difficult for an adult to fit into, and since I'm only 5'3" that's saying something.

It is....but Heimlich cracks me up & is worth the 3 min. ride if no line..... & the Bugs Life 4D is more for tweeners & adults than little ones (but is much like the WDW version....although i like the underground que better at DLR).

We love Heimlich, too! On our trip in February, our girls were very excited to ride this "alone" - they are four and six and were so happy there was a ride where they could sit in a car by themselves (no adults). The adults sat in different cars in the train. EXCEPT, the CM counted wrong and put DH and BIL in the same seat (they are made for 2 people but really two little people) and it was hilarious. The two of them sitting together in that little seat is a priceless memory for me! I am laughing now as I think about it!! I wish I had a picture, I would share it with you now. But alas, I do not.

The theming of Heimlich is really great, love, again, the Disney Detail.

I think Casey's is one of the best kept secrets. It is a zippy little thing. I have been on mini-roller coasters that did not have as much pep as that little train. I love it. Not scary - just fun.

There is no such thing as anything in Disneyland being, "Just for kids." The whole concept of the park was so adults and children could enjoy things together. Besides, everybody's a kid at heart, right?

Yes, I meant the Astro Obiter. That and Dumbo have such very long slow lines that I think they are easily skipped if you don't have many days there. I actually do like the Tea Cups but some adults may have trouble with that much spinning.

We even got our teenage boys on a few Fantasy Land rides at the end of the last day. My husband thought the Pooh ride in Critter Country was especially well done. We did that without the boys.

We watched the Chew Chew train but thought it looked a little small so weren't sure. I took pictures of it though because it looked so cute.
