Rides during first Fantasmic showing

I was wondering the same thing. We are going at night and will have FPP for TSM and ToT, but not RnR. We have always been to DHS at rope drop, so this is a first for us.

I have never noticed much of a drop in wait times for RnR or TS during Fantasmic. I think this is because guests are choosing between so few attractions.

We are going in mid-August and HS closes at 10pm (no EMH). Fantasmic at 9:00 and 10:30.

It's still an unknown, as guests with a propensity for riding attractions will tend to line up for TSM, ToT and/or R'n'RC during the first Fantasmic! and then see the second F! after the park has closed for attractions.

We tried that for TSM and didn't see any drop in Wait time.

Posted wait time or actual wait?

We've often rode Toy Story up to 4 times during the early presentation of Fantasmic. The posted wait is generally 70+ minutes but the actual wait can be 15 or less.

We attend in early summer on crowd level 8-9 days. Late night is the best time for multiple rerides on the headliners.

Actual wait time 60+ was longer than posted wait time 45.

I see. My plan works better when they jack the wait time up to the point where it scares guests off. We always ask the kid at the entrance what the real wait time is. They're usually pretty close.

It depends. Line might clear out a little, might clear out a lot, but no way to predict. We have more experience at MK riding BTMR during parades/fireworks. Posted wait time 30+ minutes would actually be less than 5 minutes during parade, but as soon as the parade ended the line would get swamped, posted 15 minutes but would really be 45. Since a lot of the RnRC line is outside, you can generally tell if the posted wait time is accurate. If the FP return line is backed up outside, you know standby will be long and slow.

Another option for RnRC would be single-rider line. We used that extensively when last there because of the FP+ tiers. The line once you got into the parking garage was typically between 5 and 15 minutes, depending on length and how good the CMs were in filling trains. One CM was falling behind and would call out "3 single riders" so my wife and I ended up riding together. Other CMs would try to match up odd-numbered parties and the line would crawl.

Great information. It is helpful to know a bit about the lines in order to better assess the situation. Good to know about the inflated waits in the evening.

We have a 9 and 4 year old so planned to do rider swap but could also just do single rider two times with one parent waiting it out each time.

Is there a better chance of shorter lines when there's only one Fantasmic showing? We're going the end of August when there's only one and we really want to ride ToT several times in the dark if we can!

We've never visited when there is only 1 Fantasmic performance, but I can tell you that Tower wait times drop dramatically in the evening. Last summer, the kids rode it 13 times in about 2 hours from 8 - 10 pm on a Star Wars Weekend evening. I made it through 4 or 5 trips then just sat on a bench watching them run by every few minutes.
