Rider swap snd fast past +

Trying to plan for our upcoming trip-one of our children is 2 and can't go on some of the bigger rides. In the past our family would approach the CM at ride entrance and we would be given paper rider swap fast passes. Do they still do that? How does rider swap work in the era of fast pass +? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

When we went in November it worked the same way as legacy fastpass did. We would go to the line and they would give us a paper rider switch pass. The first group would go in and then the second group would go in through the fastpass line with the pass when they were done.

We would use FP+ for just the first group and tell them at the ride entrance we needed the rider switch. The CM wanted to see the child that was too small to ride. Then the first group would use the fastpass line too. The second group wouldn't need FP+, once they had the rider switch pass so we used that for another ride.

I've read it in a few DIS comments and tried to google search. The Disney official site does say it's good for two but I didn't know if it had aways said that or not. I'd at least be prepared taking turns with how rides with who and/or who gets to ride the second time.

We are hoping to get a total of three rides when my daughter isn't tall enough. Most of the time my mom will also not ride. But CMs don't know that. So we will go to FP+ entrance and get a rider swap. Then those of us that are riding will enter FP+ queue. Upon coming out, my son and one other adult (the lucky one) will take my mom's MB and my daughter's to ride again. Then we will use rider swap either right then or later for two more people to have a 2nd ride. This will only work at a few rides though as my daughter is 40 inches but not yet 44. So really we pretty much plan to do this for Space Mountain I guess. Mission: Space half of us don't ride anyway and we didn't FP+ RnR.

I'm probably "bending" the rules a little but......hey this will be our last chance to take advantage of rider swap anyway.
